Saints and Sinners book one is the start of a new series by the incredibly talented Kaithlin Shepherd and for it to be one of my favorite romance tropes ( the hot rocker falling for the everyday/ordinary yet beautiful women) was just a bonus for my reading enjoyment. Lead singer of S & S - Jarrod Banks has had it bad for the bands' publicist since the beginning but she hasn't wanted to play in his games. Patricia has been the level-headed ultra professional that is unwilling to jeopardize her career for a fling with Jarrod but unbeknownst to him she has been in love with him since she first laid eyes on him years ago.
Five years ago Patricia (Trish) Monroe was just heading to a bar to grab a drink when she discovered a band that would take the world by storm. Trish has been as much a part of the band as everyone else and has stood by and watched Jarrod date other women all while her heart breaks a little bit each time. Trish realizes by denying their chemistry and placing Jarrod firmly in the friend-zone her heart and professional reputation stay intact but it has been five long years and her resolve is starting to crumble.
Jarrod Banks is a country music sensation and I don't know about you guys but for me the country boys like Luke Bryan/ Dierks Bentley put those pop guys to shame. So you can just imagine the fan girls all over a smoking hot front man like Jarrod but regardless of all the attention he receives he still can't seem to get Trish to pay him any mind at all. Jarrod has done everything that he can think of to make Trish just give him a chance but five years is a long freaking time to wait so he resorts to every dirty trick in the book until it works and when it works good Lord does it work in a spectacular smoking hot way!!!
The back and forth between past and present was seamless for me and gave us a great look at the band on a whole. Then for us to get that light-the-sheets-on-fire sexy times when these two finally succumbed to their desires just made it an all around great read for me. Can't wait for more about the band :)

The moment she spotted him, she reminded herself that this was business and she couldn't let herself lust after this man. For heaven's sake, she didn't even know his name.
As she walked toward him, he turned around at the sound of her clicking heels. When their eyes met, she stopped dead in her tracks. The intensity she'd seen in the man on stage was nothing compared to his intensity right now.
With a heart-stopping smile, he greeted her. "Hi." His voice was soft and raspy, like a well-aged scotch you'd want to enjoy down to the last sip. He held out his hand to her. "I'm Jarrod."
So, her fantasy man's name was Jarrod. "Patricia."
"So, Patricia, what can I do for you?" Sexual innuendo filled his voice, and judging by the flicker of lust in his eyes, he meant it that way. She could only imagine the kind of indecent proposals this man received on a daily basis.
"You guys are really good," she managed to say, without sounding like a complete idiot. Having this kind of instant reaction to someone was new for her. She didn't know why, but there was something about him that drew her forward. He was like a magnet pulling her closer and closer.
"Thanks. So, I've never seen you around at any of our shows before. Is this your first time?"
She wondered how many women had done exactly what she was doing right now.
Heat caressed her cheeks as she reeled in her lust and dirty ideas before they got the better of her, and answered, "It was. Thanks for making it painless."
"Always happy to pleasure a beautiful woman." Somehow, she didn't doubt that for a minute.
