It was a hot September day that changed my life forever. Nothing about me would be the same. Ever. I walked to the bench, oblivious to my surroundings. My nose was stuck in my current romance novel. I followed along as the girl fell in love with her best friend (the bad boy), wishing life was really that way. I didn’t even notice when he walked by me.
Or when he stopped a few yards from me, and came back in my direction to take a seat beside me.
“Hey. Do you want a cracker?” he velvet voice asked me.
I didn’t look up, I wasn’t sure if he was even talking to me. Why would an attractive senior be talking to me?
“Hey, I’m talking to you,” he said, a chuckle in his voice.
I slowly lifted my head, peering at him from under my long lashes. His dark brown hair swept across his forehead and his deep blue eyes made me gasp. He wore the ultimate laid back style, a white t-shirt and jeans. All he needed was a black leather jacket and he would be the bad boy from my book. The smile on his face was breathtaking, and I found myself unable to speak.
“Hi, I’m Cade,” he said, a huge grin on his handsome face.
“Hi, I’m Francesca.”

I enjoyed meeting Cade and Francesca. This is a second chance story and that happens to be one of my all time favorites !! Not saying it is an easy road to happiness but their journeys have brought them back together and as we get bits and pieces of their pasts we find what happened and why this is such a major event for them. Cade's story is a hard one to read , be warned if you have issues with addiction or issues reading about it he is definitely in need of serious help. With Francesca as his lawyer and his brother by his side Cade finally comes to the conclusion that it is time for a change. Cade and Francesca have to hash out their past and come to terms with the here and now but their chemistry is amazing and their feelings are so genuine. I was hoping for their happiness. Once Cade accepts help and Francesca knows what he is facing it seems their journey is moving forward. Can Francesca stand by her man and wait out his rehab and help with his recovery or will it be too much ?? Will Cade survive rehab and be able to accept the terms and conditions of his recovery ?? I look forward to getting these answers in the next story !

Cade is on the road to recovery with Francesca’s love and support guiding him. The road to recovery is not easy but it is very much worth the struggle for Cade. He loves Francesca and more importantly he wants to be the man he knows he can be. Not only does he need to get a handle on his addiction but he needs to mend fences with his family and learn to support Francesca in her times of need as well. Francesca is making big moves for herself as a lawyer and it is great to see her accomplish so much and overcome the sadness that haunted her for so long. This story is about healing , on their own and together. They make new bonds with friends and family and start a life together free from the struggles of their past. Cade will always be in recovery but with Francesca by his side things are looking up !! We have some twists and turns , Francesca and Daphne have some struggle in this part but in the end we get happiness and now we move on to find out exactly what Daphne's issues are !! I am hoping it sheds light on her because as of right now I am not her biggest fan - but I do LOVE Zander !!

I was having a hard time with Daphne , she was being yucky and mean to Francesca in the first 2 books so although I wanted her story I was wondering if it would even help to redeem her at that point !! I will say it did but not right away.
I was quite shocked finding out Daphne's story, I mean right off the bat I was wondering why she went to those extremes to keep things hidden but then I wondered if maybe that was part of her depression. I did feel for her and would never wish that struggle on anyone. It didn't take long to put 2 and 2 together yet I was still shocked when the realization set in for the characters. You really do feel their emotions and it was both awesome and scary that Daphne and Zandy had that connection. I have loved Zander since we met him and so I was swept up in his POV and on edge with Daphne's issues and how they were affecting Zandy. All in all I enjoyed the start to their story , as you will see it has only just begun. I am hoping for big and happy things for them and if not Daphne may just stay on my SH** list !! There are some twists , turns and real life struggles going on here and we also get a bit of C & F's story continuing on.

I am so glad that Z & D are moving forward in this adventure together , though not really together but if you are reading you get what I mean !! Now that all truths are coming out into the open Z & D are able to be friends and attempt to prepare for this new exciting adventure. Zander will stop at nothing to give D what she needs and although they are both afraid of what it means their true feelings for each other are starting to show. Angsty little creeps these two are and they keep us hanging on for quite a bit. The tension is yummy , actions that speak louder than words are yummy too !! It is an exciting time for both couples and it was fun to be a part of it all. The ending was great and I so loved how Z & D finally confessed their love !! It was amazing. I am so happy I was able to read this series and i do enjoy this author's work.
