SYNOPSIS **Warning - While this final book can be read as a standalone, if you wish to avoid spoilers, you should read the series in sequence**
Actor for the Night
A familiar face from Logan Steele’s past returns to wreak havoc, threatening his very future, and leaving him in turmoil. He has to step up to fulfil his most challenging role to date, but the question is whether he’s a good enough actor to pull it off. Will Logan get his happy ever after? Or will his past bite him, or the ones he loves, so hard, that it turns his life into a disaster movie?
REVIEW This is the final installment in a series I have thoroughly enjoyed featuring London's most exclusive male escort Logan Steele. Prior to Logan's "retirement" he fulfilled the erotic fantasies of many women and lived by a strict set of rules. The rules were in place to protect both Logan and the client but approximately fourteen months ago every rule Logan ever had went out the window when he fulfilled the fantasies of a up and coming actress. Life has not been the same since that night and Logan wouldn't change a thing.
Summer Beresford is now a famous actress and commands top dollar on the films she chooses to star in and having Lucas as a friend is becoming one of the best parts of her life. The only problem is Summer is missing the physical connection that she and Lucas once shared but how can she trust him to tell her the truth? Will he be able to truly give everything up just to be with her?
Lucas has given up his business and only sticks to the referral portion of his old career and due to savvy money management he is able to spend the time with Summer and be her friend/court her like he has wanted to all along without having to worry about working. Lucas finally wins Summer over and just when they are as happy as can be his past comes back to haunt him. Someone is trying to take away the woman he loves and fill her mind with lies, will she believe it or trust in Lucas?
This series reminded me of Robin Hood in a way where Logan would steal from the rotten/rich/nasty people and make them do the right thing either by force or persuasion. Then once again like Robin Hood he would give to the less fortunate whether they were broken-hearted / lost loves / down on their luck and turn the situation around so they found the HEA they deserved. Not only were the sex scenes and fantasies hot enough to set your kindle on fire the author could then turn it around and make you laugh hard too. Great series that I highly recommend :) ~ REVIEWED BY JILL ~
USA Today Best Selling author Harper Bentley writes about hot alpha males who love hard. She's taught high school English for 23 years, and although she's managed to maintain her sanity regardless of her career choice, jumping into the world of publishing her own books goes to show that she might be closer to the ledge than was previously thought.
After traveling the nation in her younger years as a military brat, having lived in Alaska, Washington State and California, she now resides in Oklahoma with her teenage daughter, two dogs and one cat, happily writing stories that she hopes her readers will enjoy.
The perfect husband. Colin Cassidy—the incredibly talented, extremely gorgeous, and unbelievably humble star NFL quarterback.
The perfect marriage. Our bond was unbreakable. His support unwavering.
The perfect career. As the recently-appointed executive director for the Boston chapter of Mending Hearts, a child abuse prevention and treatment program, my daily reward was helping to keep vulnerable, innocent children from being preyed upon and destroyed. It’s all I’d wanted to do since I was a teenager.
Perfect city. Perfect car. Perfect house with the perfect view.
From the outside looking in, it was impossible to find a single flaw in my life. I had it all. Everything I’d ever wanted.
But that kind of perfection came at a price. Demanded the ultimate sacrifice.
What happened when I discovered what I’d been missing all along? When I began to question if the lies were worth protecting?
What if suddenly the last thing I wanted was to be perfect?
“What in the world is all this?” I asked with a chuckle, hovering under the archway that separated the living room and kitchen. “Did you invite the offensive line over for breakfast or something?”
Colin, still dressed in his pajama pants and a plain white t-shirt, whisked something feverishly at the stove while I gaped at the steaming, mouth-watering spread on the butcher-block kitchen island. Buttery scrambled eggs. Waffles. French toast. Crispy bacon. Sausage. Hash browns. Flaky buttermilk biscuits. And fresh strawberries with homemade whipped cream to top it all off. I’m pretty sure I gained five pounds just looking at it all. So much for that workout.
“I’d need a lot more food than this, if that was the case,” he contended as he shot me a teasing smile. Momentarily abandoning the baked beans in the saucepan, he set the wooden spoon down on the counter, turned the heat down to low, and closed the distance between us to kiss my forehead. “Morning, gorgeous. I’d give you a proper hug, but my hands are all greasy. How was your workout?”
I scrunched my nose up and gave a sharp shake of my head. “It sucked.”
His chest shook with laughter as he bent down to rub the tip of his nose against mine. An Eskimo kiss, it was called, according to Colin. My mom wasn’t big on any kind of kisses, hugs, or demonstrations of love for anyone other than her current boyfriend or husband, and since I’d never had a boyfriend before him, it took me some time after Colin and I started dating to get used to his open displays of affection—both public and private—but soon…soon I began to love them. To live for them. They were my drug. He was my drug. All I needed to keep my perfect world balanced and me grounded.
“You knew better when you took that final glass of wine last night. I saw the hesitation in your eyes,” he half-scolded, returning to the food I still contended was not a breakfast food at all, despite his and his parents’ claim otherwise. I didn’t care that Google backed them up, maintaining beans were common in breakfasts throughout many countries that were once a part of the British Empire. The only way I was eating them at nine in the morning was if I was camping, or it was the apocalypse. Otherwise, they were a lunch or dinner-only menu item.
“Yeah, I did.” Sighing, I shuffled inside the gourmet kitchen and plopped down on one of the four bar stools situated around the island, where we ate ninety-nine percent of our meals. It was my seat while we were in this room, which was more often than not if we were home. When we originally bought the house after Colin was drafted by his hometown team, the first thing we did was have the entire thing gutted and redesigned to our liking.
The kitchen was my husband’s pet project, as he claimed it would be the heart of our home. He personally selected everything from the mahogany cabinets and black-and-tan marble countertops, to the natural wood accessories and the toaster that had more settings than a spaceship. Warm, cheery butterscotch walls. Restaurant-quality stainless steel appliances. Ornate hardware on all of the drawers and cupboards. It didn’t make sense to me then, but as we settled into our life together, I soon discovered that if we weren’t in our bedrooms, chances were we were in the kitchen—either comparing our daily schedules over coffee and a healthy breakfast in the mornings or catching up at night at night over dinner. It was ourplace. Just like this was my stool. Unfortunately, our already-busy schedules only seemed to be growing more and more hectic over the previous few months, and we’d been missing each other more frequently than I’d have liked.
“You never told me what this is all for,” I reminded him before I snuck a piece of bacon and shoved it in my mouth.
“We’re celebrating.” Peering over his shoulder, he smirked as he watched me chew the heart-attack inducing deliciousness. “And get your grubby little fingers out of the bacon until it’s time to make our plates.”
I moaned as I swallowed. I couldn’t help it. It was that good. Bacon was my weakness; I could never have a pet pig.
Once I’d finished climaxing with Wilbur’s belly, I realized my husband was still staring at me, his expression unreadable. “I hope you don’t do that in public, Roe. That sound would give a hundred-year-old man on his deathbed a woody.”
My right eyebrow arched high up into my forehead, a combination of confusion over the celebration comment and a where-in-the-hell-did-he-come-up-with-some-of-this-stuff look. I opted to ignore the old-guy-with-a-boner explanation and found out when I could have more bacon. “What are we celebrating?”
He twisted back around to stir the beans, even though I could see the burner was off and they were clearly ready and didn’t need stirring. The only time Colin didn’t face me when he was talking was when he was nervous. And only one subject made Colin nervous.
“Well, the success of the gala, of course. I know I said it last night, but I was so impressed with everything. You kicked ass, babe.” He paused briefly to exhale loudly then continued on. “This is also my last Sunday home before the season starts. After this, we won’t get to do our Funday Sundays until after playoffs next February, and I knew you were going to meet with Allison later, so I wanted breakfast to be awesome.” Another pause. Longer this time. Two deep breaths. “And after we got home last night—”
“This incredible guy showed up,” a familiar male voice that belonged to Colin’s childhood next-door neighbor and best friend finished the sentence from behind me.
I quickly spun around to find Seth Andrews closing in on where I sat, wearing only a pair of loose athletic shorts and with his brown hair all a bedhead mess. He scooped me up off the seat and twirled me in the air as he covered both sides of my cheeks with kisses. I squealed with delight.
“Roe, baby girl, you were amazing last night!” he exclaimed as he eventually lowered me back on the cushion then parked himself two stools away from me. His spot. “Not only did you look absolutely stunning, your speech was fuckin’ killah. Those snooty assholes were eating out of the palms of your hands.”
“You do know you’re one of those snooty assholes, right?” Colin scoffed from the refrigerator while pulling out the milk and orange juice. “And watch your language in my house, especially around Monroe.”
Seth rolled his eyes and snatched two pieces of bacon from the platter, giving one to me and keeping the other for himself. I giggled as Colin flared his nostrils when he caught us. “Roe doesn’t care if I curse. She works with teenagers. Kids these days throw fuck around like it’s an everyday word. I bet Oscar the Grouch teaches them how to spell it on Sesame Street now or some shit.”
I wanted to agree that he probably wasn’t far off, but instead of riling up Colin even more and forcing him to get out the swear jar, I redirected the conversation. “I was wondering if I was gonna see you here this morning,” I said to Seth, “but when you weren’t around at the end of the gala, I thought maybe you had to take Effie home and didn’t feel like driving back into town.”
“Nah,” he shook his head as he grabbed a strawberry, “she wanted to go meet some of her friends at a bar, and I didn’t want her on the streets by herself, especially considering the fancy shit she was wearing. So I escorted her there and hand-delivered her to a girl I somewhat trust. Then, I ran into a guy I knew from school, so I stayed and had a couple beers while I waited for you two to get home.”
“You must’ve been quiet when you got here. Or I was so tired that I just passed out, oblivious to the world around me.” I shrugged my shoulders, not surprised.

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Breathless Trilogy comes the first novel in the Enforcers series—a bold new direction in erotic romance that explores the games men and women play, and the price they’re willing to pay for pleasure.
What he wants, he takes with no remorse or guilt.
She stood out in his club like a gem, unspoiled and untouched. A lamb among wolves, she clearly didn’t belong. Drawn to her innocence he watched as she was surrounded by men who saw what he did—but no one but him could touch her. He summoned her to his private quarters. He sensed her fear. He also recognized the desire in her eyes. And he knew she wouldn’t leave before he possessed her. She had no need to know his secrets. Not until he had her under his complete and utter control.
What he wants, she isn’t sure she can give him.
The moment he told her want he wanted, she couldn’t resist. Instinct told her to run, but her heart said stay and walk the fine line between pleasure and pain. Though she wasn’t sure she could ever completely surrender, the primal part of her wanted to try, even knowing this man could break her in ways she never imagined. Because once he possessed her, he owned her and it would be too late to turn back. She can only pray that he doesn’t destroy her in the end.
The Maya Banks writing I fell in love with is back in the new Enforcers series. Drake Donovan and Evangeline Hawthorn are the first couple featured in Mastered and then the soon to be released Dominated, so needless to say Mastered ends in a cliffhanger and Dominated has a projected release date of early 2016. This book is almost a mix of KGI meets the Sweet series - it brings two of Maya's greatest series together and the result is fantastic. While admittedly there are many unanswered questions for not only Evangeline but Drake too, I am banking on book two being even better than this one.
Evangeline Hawthorn grew up an only child in a small town in Mississippi. While her parents were never able to shower her with gifts and new things they were able to love her more than she could ever imagine. After Evangeline graduated high school she decided to move to New York as a way to earn more money to help support her family especially since her dad was injured on the job but never compensated. Evangeline worked tirelessly and only kept enough for food and rent while she sent the rest of the money home to her parents for their bills to be paid. The night she walked into Impulse thinking she would make her ex-boyfriend regret dumping her is the night her entire world changed. It is the night she met the man she now loves. The man who is now her master.
Drake Donovan is a very dark man. Not only is he surrounded by shadows, he associates with questionable people and does questionable things. Drake and his partners or brothers as he prefers to call them all have the dominant, alpha need to not only demand submission but to care for those in their command. When Drake sets his sights on Evangeline he is immediately taken not only with her beauty but with the air of innocence and kindness that surrounds her. Drake knows he should never touch Evangeline but is unable to stop himself and what has only ever been sexual for Drake turns into so much more. The secrets and darkness that surround him can never touch the purity and light that is Evangeline or he could lose her and himself in the process.
The author has brought her writing back to where I fell in love with it and nothing is off limits - sexually speaking. Then add in the air of mystery that surround the men that work for Drake, it just adds to the whole story line. I can't wait to see what is in store for us with this series and while I know she wrote that Silas and Justice are the only other Enforcers to have books in the works we can hope and pray that the others will get their say too :) ~ REVIEWED BY JILL ~

So, are you ready for your MONSTER SCREW??
About Screwed:
I’m young, fit, attractive, and loaded. Not to mention I’m packing a sizable bulge below the belt. It’s a combination that drops panties on a regular basis.
Yay, me, right?
But my cock, troublemaker that he is, has been confined to my trousers by my business partner. A concession I agreed to, and one that’s never been hard to enforce until Emery moves in across the hall. She’s smart, young, determined, and sexy as hell. I want a taste. I won’t stop until I’m buried deep inside the succulent new-in-town brunette.
After being warned about my past, she does her best to steer clear, but I’m about to show her that underneath it all, I’m a guy with a heart of gold and a cock of steel.
My name is Hayden Oliver, and this is my story.
About Monster Prick:
Over my dead body.
That's what I told Gracie when she informed me of her plan to pick some random guy she met online to get rid of her pesky virginity.
If anyone is touching her, it's going to be me.
I shouldn't even be considering it, but I can't get it out of my head: her, under me, begging me.
***
Arrogant. Cocky. Prick.
Those are the words I'd use to describe my older brother's dangerously handsome best friend.
When he learned of my plan to kick off my white cotton briefs, ditching my good girl persona once and for all by losing my virginity to the first eligible bachelor I could find, he flipped out. Said over his dead body.
He says if anyone's going to do it, it's going to be him.
I hate that I'm even considering his offer.
But I am ... I sooo am.
Ever since he suggested it, all I can think about is his cocky smile on those full lips as he's driving in to me.
But if we cross that line ... will I ever be able to go back?
MONSTER PRICK, a sexy romantic comedy, is a spin off novella from SCREWED, but can be read as a standalone, as it features a new couple.
Kendall Ryan is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance novels, including Hard to Love, Unravel Me, Resisting Her and When I Break.
She's a sassy, yet polite Midwestern girl with a deep love of books, and a slight addiction to lipgloss. She lives in Minneapolis with her adorable husband and two baby sons, and enjoys hiking, being active, and reading.
My Papai always said wine made everything better. Countless times he uttered those familiar words to me— “The Merlot will melt your problems away meu amor. With a good bottle of wine in your hand, you hold the magical key to anything you want.”
I believed my father whole heartily, until my world came crashing down on me at twenty-four years old.
It wasn’t going to take wine to help Brody and I find our way back to one another. It was going to take fighting … not only for our love—
Her eyes met mine, and I swear I’d never felt my stomach twist and turn like that. She was gorgeous. Dark brown hair pulled up neatly on her head, green eyes that danced with excitement, and skin that looked like it had been kissed by the sun. When I accidentally brushed my hand across her shoulder, my entire body caught fire.
It only took me a few minutes to get myself back under control so I could speak to her, but the jerk sitting across from her started talking to her.
“So, Brynlee, what are you getting your degree in?” he asked.
Brynlee smiled politely, but I got the feeling she didn’t want to talk to him. “Business management.”
Bingo. My cue.
“Really? Same here,” I cut in as I turned to Brynlee. “Well, chemical engineering with a minor in business.”
Brynlee turned and looked at me with the sweetest smile. I actually had to concentrate on breathing while I looked at those beautiful bee-stung lips. “Wow, that’s impressive. I wonder if we’ve had any classes together?”
Hell no. I’d remember seeing this beautiful creature.
“Must not have.”
Keeping the grin on her face, she shrugged. “Well, some of those classes were huge. You could have been in the back or something.”
I lifted my beer and took a drink as Brynlee’s eyes fell to my lips. Setting my beer back on the table, I gave her a panty-melting smile, ensuring to show my dimples. She seemed to like them. Her breath caught every time she looked at them. “I’m pretty damn sure I’d have noticed you if you were in any of my classes, Brynlee.”

AMIE'S 5 STAR REVIEW
I feel so many emotions when I read Kelly Elliott. Sometimes I wonder why I torture myself !! I know I will laugh and have to fan myself off BUT I also should know that I will cry my eyes out and get super angry. Who We Were may be a standalone read BUT wow it will stick with me. The struggle is real and I think Kelly touched upon so many real emotions and if you follow her on social media and read her notes in the book you will see that this was personal for her and not an easy story to write. Knowing those personal facts and being able to feel the authors emotion makes the read that much better. I know for me she has always been that author, the one who never lets me down , I know what to expect and I would never pass up the chance to read her work. Brynlee and Brody's story is heartbreaking and healing , there is pleasure and pain , joy and sadness and you will have to read to find out if they get the HEA they so deserve.
Brynlee was always so focussed on school she really never took the time to deal with going out or meeting guys. Her college roommate and bestie Crystal was not having that on this night and thankfully Brynlee broke down and agreed. That moment of first meeting someone and getting butterflies and just feeling so excited , ya we get all that and more with Brynlee and Brody. It was just so innocent and easy for them to get caught up in their excitement. It felt nice so I went with it, never bothers me for insta love or fast moving relationships when the couple is genuinely happy.
Fast forward a bit and now we have left Texas and moved to California so Brynlee can be near her family vineyard-
Both are so caught up in their busy lives that tension is starting to build. Such a normal struggle but there is much more going on for both of them. Their lack of honesty sends their relationship spiraling and for a moment I was so scared about Brody's actions. I was angry with Brynlee for still keeping her secret despite Brody's honesty and even though she was truly struggling I wanted to knock some sense into her. If you know how Kelly does it than you know the emotions will pull you back and forth but she will never let us down !! Another great read and as much as there is a struggle going on here there is still plenty of heat and so much humor !! OMG Melanie and Travis crack me up and Travis and Brody with the who has a bigger one OMG it was too much I was LOL'ing. The bone that Jacob kept yelling about - LOL . I swear there is always a t-shirt I want to buy after I read a Kelly book !!
Kelly Elliott is married to a wonderful Texas cowboy who has a knack for making her laugh almost daily and supports her crazy ideas and dreams for some unknown reason...he claims it's because he loves her!
She’s also a mom to an amazing daughter who is constantly asking for something to eat while her fingers move like mad on her cell phone sending out what is sure to be another very important text message.
In her spare time she loves to sit in her small corner overlooking the Texas hill country and write.
One of her favorite things to do is go for hikes around her property with Gus....her chocolate lab and the other man in her life, and Rose, her golden retriever. When Kelly is not outside helping the hubby haul brush, move rocks or whatever fun chore he has in store for her that day, you’ll find her inside reading, writing or watching HGTV.
Jack Bryant left the Special Forces to begin his private investigation business. Pulling together like-minded men from the CIA, FBI, ATF, DEA, Border Patrol, SEALs, and police, they were devoted to the missions that no one else wanted or could solve.
When the Campus Killer strikes again, Jack’s team is tasked by the Governor to find the killer, using whatever means they can.
While following the trail of the serial killer, he becomes entangled in the life of the beautiful woman living next to his property.
Bethany Bridwell moved in with her grandmother to take over running Mountville Cabin Rentals. She had no time for the handsome, mysterious man living next door who continued to intrude into her life...and her thoughts.
Jack battled his growing feelings for Bethany, worried his life would not allow for the white-picket-fence world she should have. But he was unable to stay away.
When the trail of the Campus Killer strikes close to home, can Jack protect Bethany long enough to give her the future she deserves?
*****Maryann's writing is off the charts with this book. If there was any possible way to rate it higher then 5* I would.
Jacks life isn't the easiest to live being devoted completely to his job. He thought that his life could not have a constant woman in his life until he meets Bethany. While he is in deep with his current assignment trying to find a serial killer he questions on whether or not he should have a relationship with Bethany, at first he doubts it will work and then quickly changes his mind because he cannot keep her out of his thoughts.
Everything that I look for in a book was right here in this book. It keeps you enthralled with its suspenseful storyline and easy to love characters. This no doubt will have me wanting to read all of her other books.
*****Beautiful, heart wrenching, suspenseful, to name just a few adjectives to describe this book. I absolutely loved it. If you haven't read any of Ms. Jordan's work yet than this is a start she gets you right from the beginning all the way to the end. I cannot wait until the next in the series comes out! I fully recommend this book along with any of Ms. Jordan's other books.
*****This was as n absolutely phenomenal book. it keep me riveted from the first page until the very last. You will not get any spoilers here you will have to read the book. Jack is this strong, alpha male who protects those he works with and those he loves. Bethany is his neighbor who he develops feelings for. I love how this story keep you on the edge of your seat and how Maryann draws you into her stories and keeps you there until the very end. If you love a story with steamy romance, suspense, drama and action than this is definitely the book for you. This was the first story in the series and I can't wait to read more about these protective, alpha men
AMIE'S 5 STAR REVIEW
Once again I find myself enjoying the writings of Maryann Jordan. Despite being one that loves books told in the POV of the characters I have grown to appreciate Maryann's writing and enjoy how she adds just enough of everything to keep me interested and surprised at times. Not only is Jack's business very intriguing BUT the case he is working on is such a mystery to all that I was so caught up in helping them find the campus killer. I had my thoughts and I seriously had 1 person pegged but then last minute we are thrown a twist that I didn't expect. Thankfully Jack was an amazing guy , no whoring around to read through and although he was having a hard time figuring out how to fit everything into his crazy life I loved getting to know him and was happy to see an HEA in their future. Bethany was a great girl working to save her family's business while her gram slowly faded into the world of dementia. It was heartbreaking to read about those struggles but it also made for some funny lighthearted moments and of course the meeting up of Bethany and Jack due to her grams issues. As always the journey to love is never easy but Jack and Bethany have a serious heat and I loved that sexual tension and of course the relief of it was amazing !! I look forward to more in this series and hope that all these men find their HEA's.
