Now this was a yummy read !! It was the perfect stuck at dance for 3hrs so let me crack open this book and sit in the minivan and read - next thing I know the book is done and so are dance classes !! Such a great paced easy flowing read I couldn't put it down. Not only was I super curious about Society X and the DARK ROOM but I really enjoyed getting to know Parker and Mia. I have read and loved plenty of Heidi but I have never read LP so this was a treat. A favorite author and a new found one !!
As the story starts we find Mia and Parker both taking a chance on a very unlike them activity. Parker is checking out Society X because his friend owns it and is looking for someone to invest. Parker's curiosity gets the best of him and although he was against it at first he decides to not only invest but give it a try. The DARK ROOM seems the most intriguing and I have to say I agree !! Mia is at a bachelorette party when she is introduced to the world of Society X. She seems a bit like a prude and is slightly horrified to be there and to be looking around. Shocked with the result of her night she takes a chance and plans to see where it leads.
Ironically Parker and Mia have been friends since childhood. They have even harboured feelings for one another for years. This isn't hard to tell, they have this super flirty fun chemistry that I loved. Parker and Mia's brother Andrew are best friends so it does make it a bit weird. Mia has been working at her brother's gym after having given up her dreams to help him. Parker finds an opportunity that he needs Mia's help with and lucky for her this opens up a whole new world where she may be able to finally achieve her dreams. This is all well and good BUT the juicy stuff comes for them both at Society X in the DARK ROOM.
Not knowing that the other takes part in this club they keep this part of life separate from what they do. The DARK ROOM has rules and as scary as it sounds it is obviously thrilling for those who want it. Total darkness and no talking. You are with a complete stranger. As you will find out from Parker and Mia you can request certain people and things for your time in the rooms. They both become fixated on the 1st person the spend time with which makes each of their encounters each time even better !! Let me just say it is super hot to read of their time in the DARK ROOM. Parker knows what he is doing and his DARK ROOM partner is lucky to have gained his attention. In the real world Parker finds himself addicted to his DARK ROOM partner but also really having issues keeping his feelings for Mia in. With Mia having the same issues it gives us some sexual tension and fun outside of the club. You know at some point their club lives will collide BUT when it does how will they react ?? Will this make things weird for them at work ?? What will happen to their feelings for one another after knowing that they take part in Society X ?? So many questions , so many possibilities !! I won't say there was any big shockers but there are definitely some game changers that come to light !! Will their happily ever after be together or will it revolve around Society X ??
