Amie's Review of Choices by Michelle Lynn

BLOG TOUR
TITLE: CHOICES
AUTHOR: MICHELLE LYNN
RELEASE DATE JANUARY 25TH

Everyone makes lots of little decisions from the moment they wake up until they sink back into sleep at night. Decisions that have no consequences or expectations. But, what about the rare choices that could change everything? How do you know what is right for you?
Happiness is something you have to choose again and again, each day.
Michaela Matthews wants that more than anything. Standing in her way is a family pushing her down a specific path and the man she loves preventing her from choosing anything different. When she moves to the city for the next step in her parent’s plan, she starts to figure out what she wants - or more importantly, what she doesn’t want. She thinks she has to leave her old life behind to discover a new one. This throws every choice she has made into question. It isn’t until tragedy strikes that she learns that sometimes there is no choice at all. Sometimes you can have it all.
Jason Marks has had the kind of life where things have seemed to just happen to him, no choice involved at all. It’s a struggle for him to keep the past at bay while he tries to move forward. He is no longer the unwanted foster kid. He is a business owner, surrounded by people that love him. But, he isn’t in love. He’s not even sure he believes in it. Not anymore. At least, not until a heartbroken girl falls apart in his arms. It’s enough to make him a believer. Make him a dreamer. Enough to force him to answer that question. Do you give all of yourself to someone who might not choose you in return?
Yes. Yes, you do.

REVIEW
AMIE'S 4 STAR REVIEW

This was my first read by this author and her first writing in this genre !! The book was a nice easy read and with minimal drama yet just enough that I needed to know that kept me reading.  I wasn't thrilled with Ethan or Mic's family dynamic right from the start. I am never a fan of the controlling and removed parents. Regardless of money and social status , being a loving and attentive parent is a must for anyone. Mic and her brother Chris never had that and as a result they are always there for each other and both leaving home to attempt to make something of their lives. Now of course Chris is doing what his father wants by way of college and work BUT Mic has recently decided that this round college will wait and some hands on experience is what she wants. Living in New York with her brother is a dream come true. Her circumstances when she left home may not have been ideal but she is working through it. Both her and Chris have some deeper issues to work through and they do make some angsty and stupid choices. When we meet Jason I was thrilled !! Who doesn't want their brother to have a sexy , hot bar owner as a bestie !!?? Despite Jason and Chris being great friends it doesn't take long for Mic and Jason to form a great friendship-ish bond. We all know what it really is but this is where some of that angsty and dumb choices come into play. With far too much time being wasted a tragedy takes place which then forces many to face the truth. Families come together and relationships change. Will these final choices lead to happiness or regret ??

Michelle Lynn is an author living in Venice, Florida. This is her first foray into romance and she is loving it. It is much different than the world of dystopian writing that she had been in before. She has published three other novels, all part of the Dawn of Rebellion trilogy.
When she's not lost in worlds of her own making, Michelle is reading, watching hockey, or doting on her niece.
