Not my first Alexis read but definitely a bit different from some of her norm. She has always done a great job at ripping me apart and I have always let her know that through emails !! This time I couldn't even form words so I didn't send emails but I did want to yell at her quite a bit.
I am quite used to MC books now so I know that as much as some fear them they usually have a deep respect for their members and family. There is always the club whores and the trouble BUT for the most part they are not horrible people. Now those who Lucy are running from - you would think she would be worse off landing in the protection of the MC - not the case here. This is the first book I can recall that had this family aspect in it. It was a unique twist and also a disgusting and heartbreaking aspect too. Do read the warning - it is not an easy read at times , there is very graphic details of abuse and even for someone like me who loves the dark and twisted I had to hold back.
Jordan is new enough to the MC life to still have a heart when he finds Lucy. Despite her age and the circumstances he wants to help her regardless of what the club says. Being a prospect is never easy and he just made his prospect life last years longer !! Lucy is smitten by Jordan of course , he is a hot biker , older than her and her savior. Despite her being just 14 she isn't childlike in her looks at all. Jordan has put himself in a horrible situation and it is rather funny to see him squirm, at the same time there is an awesome build up of sexual tension , thankfully these 4 years go by quickly !! Just when we think Lucy is in the clear we are thrown a few curve balls. Hang on tight because it is not pretty and you will be shocked at just how much Lucy changes after these events. Good for her I say and yippeee for the sneak peek !!

Ashley believes that you should have an opinion on every character in a book whether you love them, hate them, or think they are up to something.She also believes that the most important critic is your reader, so she loves to hear from the readers. She want her fans to be open & talk to her about what they want for the characters in the story, and what they would like to see happen.
