As I had mentioned - when I was reading book 1 and I saw that we would be getting Landon's story and Heidi was the girl I was kind of put off. Heidi was Emery's bestie , Landon was her ex , Emery was now with Landon's brother Jensen... I don't know it worried me that it would feel a little bit much. By the time I finished Emery and Jensen's book I became excited for Landon because he was really getting the bad deal with his nasty wife and he and Emery were truly done and had been for years so give him his HEA too !! Now having said that I am a bit nervous about Austin's book , he worries me and I am hoping he gets help and that Julia isn't a total doormat.
Landon and Heidi have known each other for years and although it seems like a forbidden concept since she is his ex's bestie- that didn't stop their almost connection and makes their chemistry undeniable. Heidi is a workaholic and has made her way into a great position at Wright. Once she finds out who her new boss is the panic sets in. She isn't willing to risk her job for anything yet she cannot stay away from Landon. Not only that but she feels weird about having feelings for Landon because of Emery. You can see how this circle just keeps going round and the struggle seems to come back anytime they think they have it fixed. Between Landon and his nasty wife and Heidi trying to get the promotion at work they may never get their HEA but it is enjoyable to be in their stolen moments when they have them. BUT just when things get comfortable one stolen moment turns into a work nightmare and seems to be the end of any happiness for Heidi and Landon. Will they get to the bottom of who did it ?? Can Heidi and Landon salvage their jobs, reps and any kind of relationship ?? I do think they deserve their HEA but we shall see if it comes. It was nice to catch up with Emery and Jensen not to mention get a few glimpses of what the rest of the Wright family will bring us !!
