4.5 stars for Beast - a dark and twisted version of Beauty and the Beast - by A. Zavarelli. This is NOT your typical fairytale full of rainbows and flowers it is some of the darkest material this author has ever written. Fans of her work you are in for the ride of your life, but for those of you who have not read Zavarelli's books before discretion is advised.
Isabella Rossi grew up as daddy's little girl having lost her mother when she was just a baby. While Bella knew her father worked for the "agency" he was never able to speak about what he did exactly she just knew it was dangerous. So when Ray Rossi went missing Bella was understandably worried and tried in vain to find him. What she found was her worst nightmare...
Javier Castillo was a - Beast - the things nightmares are made of. A recluse of sorts that was created by circumstances out of his control. Everything he was ever taught to believe was a lie so he could be turned into a weapon created by the "agency". Now it's time for everyone to pay the price for their lies and deceit and he is going to start with an innocent pawn that he has kept tabs on for years.
Absolutely loved this dark and dirty version of the classic story. The chemistry between Javi and Bella was intense and left you craving more. With enigmatic secondary characters I am hoping she writes more of this dark and depraved world :)
