5 stars for - Malum: Part 2 - book five in the Elite Kings Club by Amo Jones. This book is the heart-stopping, mind-altering conclusion to Nate and Tillie's story. After all the upheaval in part one I stupidly assumed part two would be a bit more gentle on my soul but Amo shredded all hope of coming out of this one unscathed and set us up for one hell of story with her next King. 
Tillie is not herself after everything that has happened but vows to stay strong and rise above no matter the cost. All the tragedy and pain has taken a toll on the once happy and content girl and without Nate to turn to for support she finds an unlikely ally in Brantley who is quickly becoming one of her closest friends. Tillie knows if she crosses that line with Brantley she can never get back what she once had with Nate but there is something about the most damaged of the Elite that tempts her ravaged soul.
Nate is out for blood and he doesn't care who he has to mow down to find the answers he needs. While his behavior may seem callous and harsh it just goes to show these Kings are a complex twisted bunch that we have no chance of ever figuring out. Nate will get justice and make sure things turn out the way they should have been in the first place.
Having long been a fan of this author I consider it a privilege to watch her take her writing to the next level. She has always been an exemplary writer but this duet (written within a series) puts her writing on a whole other level. I highly recommend reading Malum 1 & 2 ASAP!!!

Confusion flooded me. “What?”
It bothered me how my question came out more as a startled squeak than a word.
He grinned, just the corner of his lips curling with lazy satisfaction. He was enjoying this moment far too much, the truth of his amusement written in the line of his lips, the sleepy look in his blue eyes. It only frightened me more.
“I’m a musician,” I whispered.
Mr. Carter leaned forward and I panicked, my eyes locked to his lips. He shouldn’t have been this close to me. There had to be rules against this. He didn’t seem to care.
I wasn’t a girl to be pushed around or controlled. Yet, in his presence, I stilled in place, unable to find the willpower to fight or move away.
Breath hot against my cheek, he whispered, “I don’t think you are. I think a musician would know better than to risk her hands acting like a stupid hoodrat that robs people. I think a musician knows better than to question the man who will be judging her performance. I think-“
My lips parted on a tremulous breath.
“-you didn’t believe me when I warned you I would spank your ass red if I ever caught you doing something so stupid again.”
There was no question about it; I was three seconds away from passing out.
He knew it and I knew it, his blue eyes locked to mine when he warned, “You should know that threat extends to you questioning me in class as well.”

AMIE'S 4 STAR REVIEW

I love a good taboo story BUT lately I am finding anything that has to do with musicians I am in love with. Not talking about rockstar books but musicians like piano and violin - orchestra stuff. 

So we have Lennon, he is back to his hometown that he hates. His family went through hell here yet he has a commitment to fulfill and because he is a very serious musician he takes this to heart. Amelia is an amazing pianist BUT her life has gone downhill over the years after losing her mother and watching her father fade due to sickness. Her brother uses her to help him make money and this is how she ends up meeting Lennon. Very quickly you find their lives intertwine in ways you may not expect. The attraction is intense and so is the training. There is the right amount of sweet and hot to keep you wanting more. I honestly didn't know which way the story would end but I am so glad it took the turn it did because I was nervous to be left hanging by these two. 


Lily White is a romance writer who likes to dabble on the taboo side of eroticism. She is most known for her Masters Series, Target This, Wishing Well, and Asylum. In addition to dark romance Lily writes contemporary romance, taboo romance, and psychological thrillers. Lily enjoys stretching her writing muscles by continuing to challenge herself with each book she publishes.
