Love Rekindled (Love Surfaced Series, Book
2)
SYNOPSIS:
Taylor
Delaney is the love of my life.
She’s also
the one I've hurt the most.
Two years
ago, I made a disastrous mistake.
One I’m not
sure I can make amends from.
But I have
to try, because I’m nothing without her.
Brad Ashby's
here, in my hometown, asking for a second chance.
All those
unresolved feelings for him have resurfaced.
Not that
they ever went away.
I know I
should run him out of the town, but I can’t.
He needs to
know that I wasn’t the only one who was deceived.
Even if we
gave our relationship another try, how can we rebuild what’s been destroyed? If
we weren’t strong enough then, what makes us strong enough now?

Excerpt:
I'm a cheater. There. I said it. Two years ago, I fell into a hole, and as fast as my fingers clawed to escape, the dirt continued to pile on me. I'm not saying it's an excuse. I'm not even saying she should forgive me. Although, I hope she does. But I can't live without her anymore. I tried. I found a girl and proposed to her, while imagining the delicate finger I slid the ring on belonged to someone else. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't go through with marrying anyone but her. For sure, I never thought I'd say this, but I'm nothing without her. She brings out the good in me. That's why I'm here, in some small-ass town, to grovel my way back into her heart.
She's different now, and I'm not referring to the disappearance of her bleached blonde hair back to her natural brown. I loved her as a blonde, but the dark suits her better. I wouldn't care if she had rainbow-colored hair. I'm not sitting outside the hospital where she works, watching her walk to her car like some stalker, because she’s gorgeous. I’m here because of her heart and kindness. That’s what I’m fighting to get back. The package it comes in is just an added bonus.
Her ponytail swings back and forth as she laughs with what I hope is a co-worker, unless she's turned lesbian in the last two years. She waves good-bye to the girl and throws her purse into the passenger seat of her Jetta. The car has a little more rust than it did back in the day, but it's held up well. Still, it’s old and she deserves something newer.
She pulls out of her parking space, and my heart constricts as I watch her drive away from me again. I should duck down so she doesn’t see me, but my eyes won't veer from her. The beat-up Jetta passes and my stomach clenches. My hand itches to yank the car handle open. My feet beg to disobey and run to her. I don't have to, because she slams on the breaks and her eyes are locked on mine. Hope pours from mine while hers fume with anger.

AMIE'S 4 STAR REVIEW
After all the struggles Brad went through in Love Surfaced I was happy to see him with an HEA and not that it was an easy road but it also was not as hard as it could have been !!
When Brad stirred trouble for himself and Tanner in LS it was not pretty. Lives were destroyed , faith and trust broken. It was a mess. When Brad lost his chances at the Olympics and Tanner moved on to become the hometown star Brad spiraled hard. He ruined himself and he ruined the only good thing he had left which was Taylor. Now we find him 2 years later looking to right his wrongs. Yet he finds Taylor hiding her own secret and we wonder if they can find the strength to not only forgive each other but rebuild the trust and give their love the chance it deserves.
I am thrilled to see Brad doing so much better, it may not have been his book but while reading about him in LS his character and his trouble really stood out and I was concerned with how things would end up for him. Not only is he trying to win his girl back but he is also trying to find a job. He wants to be passionate about work , he isn't an office 9-5er type guy. When a few opportunities present themselves to him at the pool he swims at he may finally find something he loves. Juggling all these adventures isn't easy but luckily for Brad - Taylor still loves him and so things flow easily for them. Not to say there aren't some small bumps in the road but all in all we have a nice quick read , great flow and some great chemistry with Tay and Brad. I am all for second chance love and so this was a no brainer for me !!
Em was such a sweet addition to the story and I loved her interactions with Brad and his parents. I am wondering if this is the last of Sam ?? Kind of weird but obviously he had been there and done so much you couldn't help but feel for him. He has been handed a crap plate and deserves some happy too. It was nice to get more of Piper & Tanner not to mention meeting some new friends/family. I love series that can standalone yet have many couples that have stories to tell !!

Love Surfaced (Love Surfaced Series, Book 1)
Synopsis:
The equations are simple.
Piper Ashby + Brad Ashby = Twin Siblings
Brad Ashby + Tanner McCain = Best Friends
Piper Ashby + Tanner McCain = Off limits
Tanner and I abided by the rules. We stayed on our
designated sides of the relationship circle.
Ignoring swarming butterflies.
Brushing off skipped heartbeats.
Settling on lingering stares.
Here’s
the secret … a hand extended over that invisible line once, exponentially
changing the equation. I was convinced we could make our relationship work
until Tanner broke the trust he embedded in me from the age of seven.
One
deceit of mega proportions and the relationship we built for that short month
vanished. I swore never to speak to him again and it’s worked. Until now—two
years later, when my brother’s wedding places me face-to-face with the best
man—Tanner McCain.
Leaving
one equation to be solved. Can love surface twice?
