REVIEW
4 stars for another great edition to this charming series based in Jessamine, NC. This book features the brother who spends his days as a professional quarterback - Austin Lawson and the local school teacher Harper Bell.

Harper is a second grade teacher at the local grade school and is truly the epitome of the southern bell with her kind and generous ways. While at work she is alerted to the fact that a unbelievably handsome man has volunteered to assist her with her class. The jaded, cynical side of Harper assumes Austin did something terrible and is rather leery having him around her students but he proves to be an asset rather quickly. Harper's even more bewildered as to why a man as handsome as Austin would ask her on a date knowing his penchant for supermodels. Harper continues to see him though, never realizing his true motive all along until she becomes invested.

Austin Lawson knows his mom is going to kick his butt for the video his ex-girlfriend posted all over social media of their supposed break-up. His mother would never allow him or his brothers to treat a women with such disrespect and that is why he is trying to tell anyone who will listen that the video was a fake and she doctored it to make him out to be a bad guy. Regardless his coach and the team's PR guru is sending him home for the summer to let the drama die down. Austin is so mad but decides to make the best of a crappy situation and volunteers his time at the elementary school where he meets a sweet as can be teacher that could get his reputation back on track if they happily date. The only problem is one date runs into the next and what started as a way to redeem himself has turned into so much more but how is she ever going to forgive his betrayal...

Love the Lawson and McCoy families and how there is a thread of them tangled/weaved together somewhere throughout all of Jessamine. MV's stories are always a quick and easy read for me that keep me wanting to see how the next one will turn out :)
