I am the good girl, the one who does no wrong.

Daughter to a ferocious and strong MC President, I know what protection feels like.

Until one night changes everything - and not a single person in the world can protect me from it, not even my dad.

Suffocating. Alone. Desperate.

I let my problems live deep inside until there is no longer anywhere to run.

I need an escape. Anything to make the pain go away.

Trouble comes for me, and I don't fight it.

I tried so hard to believe in what I was,

But nobody understood.

Not until him. Not until Lucas.

He sees me. He believes in me.

He refuses to let me drown.

He’s my way out. My escape.

But Lucas is forbidden. He’s a cop. I’m in danger. And my father is trying to protect what can’t be protected.

There can only be one outcome.

Pandemonium.

REVIEW

4.5 stars for the start of a new series that brings the children of the Hell's Knights & Heaven's Sinners to the forefront. In this first book Jackson and Serenity's daughter Ava is all grown up and moved out of her parents house. She is loving the freedom of working and living on her own until the unthinkable happens which in turn causes Ava to start down a path of self destruction. Ava finds solace in the arms of the most unlikely of people, a man just as broken as she is.

Ava is the youngest daughter of the MC president and has always been the "good one" who never caused anyone to worry. Having her friends and family both blood and MC always at her back gave her the sense of security that she never thought would be in jeopardy until a vicious and ruthless monster changed all of that. Ava goes through such a traumatic ordeal she can barely even speak of it since she fears the repercussions so deeply. While trying to cope with the nightmares and memories that play on a steady repeat in her head the Ava everyone once knew keeps slipping a bit farther and farther away every day.

Lucas Black is the head of detectives and a little over two years ago his entire world was shattered when he lost the one person he loved more than anyone else in this world. Lucas knows what it's like to crawl out of that dark place in your head and to try and live again. So when he literally runs into a broken and bloody young woman on the street he recognizes a lost soul and tries to help in any way he can. What Lucas doesn't realize at the time was this beautiful broken woman that calls to him on a visceral level is the youngest daughter of an MC president which complicates things to say the least.

Wow this book is phenomenal in it's intensity and it easily pulls the gut wrenching emotions from you not even twenty-five percent in. Where previously I have felt the scorching hot sexy times were front and center in the other (parents) books this book was more about the story not the sex. Don't get me wrong these two have the most amazing chemistry and when they do get together it is beyond hot but the build up for me was worth the wait :)
