“Really? You got me donuts?” I arch a brow, dropping the lid.
He turns, a mischievous smile fitting his face.
“Don’t all cops like donuts?” he jeers. I roll my eyes, placing my hand on my hip.
“That’s so stereotypical,” I huff.
“Oh, really?” he replies, grabbing the box off the table, a smug smile still on his face.
“I’ll get rid of them then.”
“No, wait!” I nearly trip over my feet trying to grab the box of donuts. He holds them higher than me and smiles so big I think I see two dimples. Really, he’s pulling the notorious bully move holding them just above my reach? Why am I attracted to him again?
“I thought you didn’t like them,” he taunts.
“I do like them. A lot, actually.” I cross my arms, my cheeks flushing. My dad used to always take me to the local bakery to get donuts on the weekends. I would get whatever I wanted—usually anything with sprinkles—and we would drop the rest off at the department. What can I say, embrace your stereotypes.
“So, it’s true. Cops love donuts,” he states arrogantly, sitting the box back down.

AMIE'S 4 STAR REVIEW
Yes I just read this book in a matter of hours. I love this author and I am finding out that I am such a big fan of MC , violence and death in books LOL. I am a fan of the Devil's Dust MC series so now getting the story of Lip's brother Zeke and his MC is a great treat.
The Sin City Outlaws rule the Vegas strip. Zeke's family not only started this MC but his Uncle owns the biggest and most popular casino on the strip. They have always mixed business and had each others backs but when this story starts there is rumors of rats amongst their own. With Zeke's Uncle Frank trying to call shots Zeke takes some matters into his own hands and thus becomes President of Sin City Outlaws. 6 years later we are finding out that uncle Frank may not be such a good guy and trouble isn't far off.
Rookie or Jillian as we know her LOL. Has just completed her training and is finally able to hit the streets as one of the newest Sheriff's in town. Of course the first few run ins she has is with the most feared MC in Vegas. Jillian cannot figure out why they are so untouchable and why the police and sheriff's departments turn their heads from the Sins trouble. Determined to make a difference she
attempts to bring in Zeke and not only does her attempt fail miserably but she manages to catch his eye and he is relentless when he wants something !!
This is like an MC/Sheriff - Romeo & Juliet. They should never be together but there is such an attraction and a pull that they find themselves breaking so many of their rules to be together. This is a recipe for disaster and Zeke knows how deep this betrayal will go with his MC but poor Jillian doesn't really know much about the big picture. Jillian finds herself struggling with the how and why when it comes to her feelings for Zeke and once they work themselves out we of course get the BIG twists and revelations. Can these two survive with everyone against them ?? Will Zeke be able to save his MC ?? Since this author likes to torture us we won't know... yes she leaves us with a big cliffy - to be continued... it is only Monday and I have had this happen to me 2 times already !!
This has the makings of a great series due to the events that ended book one. There is so much room for action , suspense and drama. Not to mention the super hot chemistry between Zeke and Jillian !! I look forward to seeing where book 2 takes us.
