Genre: Contemporary Romance
This is my first book by this author and it will certainly not be my last. This one book had a bunch of my favorite romance tropes all mixed into one - friends to lovers, first loves get their second chance, taboo and finally it was funny too. This book for sure had something in it for just about everyone and I was able to read it straight through once I started. Please be aware that it is about a porn star - many things of the sexual nature and in the porn industry will be discussed so if you are a delicate little flower this book probably isn't for you...
Jemma Morgan wanted to be a big-time actress but settled on a children's TV series where she played Elsa after the wildly successful movie up until a rocker she dated posted a sex tape he recorded of them on his phone. As soon as Jemma's video went viral she lost her job and was pretty much undesirable by Hollywood standards. Jemma having no choice decides to take an assistant job to a porn director thinking she needs to pay her bills and really...how bad could it be? The very last person in the world that she would think she would run into is the man Jemma lost her heart to as a naive teenager but it seems that he is the star of the show...
Tyler Westbrook moved to New York and spent a bit too much time partying and ended up losing his scholarship to NYU. After he got a job stripping to make money it became clear very quickly that school was not going to work out for him so he moved back to California and auditioned for a role in the adult film industry. Tyler who was quickly named "Johnny Depth" shot to stardom as one of the best male actors in the industry. Tyler was not prepared for the day the new director's assistant was on set and it happened to be the only girl he ever really cared about. How does a porn star separate work from home? Are they allowed the HEA too?
Such a great book with tons of LOL moments. There is definitely a possibility for more in the future with other characters too if the author chooses to which I love :)
