3.5 stars for book three in the MC Sinners Next Generation, which tells the tale of Danny and Skye. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but in order to have a better understanding of not only Danny/Skye's relationship, but other issues I would recommend at least reading book one -- Pandemonium -- of this series first.
Cade and Addi's daughter --Skye-- grew up in the MC and has loved Danny since she was five. There has never been anyone else but him until she decided that the MC life wasn't for her. Skye decided she wanted to travel and live a safe life away from the MC when she saw two people she loves get hurt because they are connected to it. Fear sends Skye running from the only man she has ever loved and puts her on a collision course of self destruction and heartache.
Spike and Ciara's son --Danny-- knew he was being molded to take over for Jax and become the next prez. Danny has lived and breathed the MC from the time he was able to prospect and earned his way up in the ranks. There is only one problem with his plan of taking over as president though because he knows he will loose the only woman he will ever love for good once he wears that president patch.
I personally loved books one and two in this series. The storylines were exceptional and the characters were so compelling. I also enjoyed how the author introduces us to everyone in the MC family so we have a better idea of all those we will read about in the future. Throughout both books we were lead on a slow burn of feelings between Danny and Skye but once we got to their book it fell flat for me. Danny as the future MC president was great but as a partner he left a LOT to be desired and don't even get me started on Skye. The only nice thing I can say about Skye in this book is she finally got it together in the end.
Now for the writing - it was phenomenal and paints such a vivid picture of the trials and tribulations these bikers and their families have endured. I was equal parts fascinated and horrified with all the developments that have transpired lately and am so glad things will finally be coming to an end. It looks like Max is up next and I can't wait to read more about him :)
