Dark Attraction by Alexandrea Weis

Author Alexandrea Weis packs some supernatural intrigue into Dark Attraction, the second installment in The Corde Noire series.
It's a fresh concept to combine a nurse who sees dead people with an uber Dom who not only relishes the physical side of the Dom/sub arrangement, but has no problems introducing a newbie to the BDSM lifestyle.
I felt very sympathetic toward Samantha because she really wasn't prepared for the overwhelming demands that Sebastian made in every facet of her life. While part of the storyline focused on their budding relationship, there was also a secondary storyline filled with supernatural drama and intrigue. My guess is that the answers lie in the next installment.
Sebastian, on the other hand, didn't make much of an impression on me other than seeming to be over the top with his demands. I didn't feel like I was able to get a good look at him under the surface until the end of the book.
One thing for certain, there was abundant heat throughout the entire book. At one point I started to wonder exactly what these two were eating for breakfast because it was non-stop explicit action. Although there was plenty of BDSM activity, it was more of a lighter version.
I would describe this as a standalone book, but would recommend that readers start at the beginning to fully appreciate The Corde Noire series.
