Dirty is the first book in the Dive bar series based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and while it is a spin off of sorts from the Stage Dive series this book was nothing like any of Stage Dive as I was expecting it to be. That being said we are introduced to a whole new kind of crowd that is awesome in their own right with many stories to tell...
Lydia Green is a runaway bride after receiving an anonymous video of her hubby-to-be in a very compromising position with his best man. Lydia assumed her whirlwind courtship of four months followed by an engagement /wedding of the year is what her fiancé really wants not knowing all the while that she is his beard. Lydia bails minutes before the ceremony running through backyards and scaling a fence before she finds an open window in a vacant house where she decides to crawl in and hide. Thinking she is alone Lydia wallows in her misery for a bit until the very unhappy and very naked homeowner discovers her hiding in his bathtub...
Vaughan Hewson is back home in Idaho out of work after his band broke up. The band was doing well opening for Stage Dive and touring the world but then they split up when another member decided to go solo. Having nothing else to do Vaughan decides to help his sister out and tends bar while reconnecting with friends and family he isn't really seen in the last ten years. So many changes have gone down over the years Vaughan is having a hard time coming to terms with it all. Then you add in his sexy new roommate and things start to get a bit Dirty...
This book was a good start to a new series and a great introduction to so many different possibilities. All the new characters hold a ton of promise for great story lines that I'm looking forward to reading :)
