He’s dead still for a second, but then he wraps his arms around me and pulls me in close.  He’s right between my legs, and I shiver when I feel the cotton of his T-shirt against my inner thighs.  I gasp as the implication of why I can feel him hits me.

        “Oh my God,” I sputter as I pull back.  “Holy shit!”

        Cole quickly pulls back and looks up at me with concern.

        “What’s wrong?”

        When I went to dry the monitor, the thing I grabbed to do it was the hem of my white cotton dress—the hem of which had rested about an inch above my knee.  I’m now sitting here with it bunched up around my thighs.  I try not to look down, but can’t help it.  As quick as I bring my eyes back to his, it’s too late.  His gaze follows the path mine just did, and he lets out a choked noise when he realizes the state I’m in.

        “Jesus, Devon,” he growls.  “Fuck.”

        Lifting his head, he meets my eyes.  My breath stops, lodging somewhere in my chest when I see the look of hunger in his eyes.  The breath rushes out of me in a whoosh when he leans back and runs his hands up the inside of my thighs.

        “You’re so soft,” he murmurs. “So beautiful.”

        I expel the breath I’ve been holding in a rush. Seemingly of their own volition, my legs spread wider, allowing him to come in closer.

REVIEW

Between Us is the third book in the Renegade Saints series and it's main focus is on the man with the magical hands - lead guitarist - Cole Hayes. At the start of this series it was always made very clear that Cole considers himself bisexual and that he preferred a third person in his relationships. I went in to this book thinking it was going to be a menage relationship as the other books in the series had hinted that Cole only has that type of relationship but I ended up being completely surprised at the route this book took. Please be advised M/M loving is discussed and it is done so minimally but reader beware.

Devon Bannister is the one tasked with filming the band's documentary and can't believe her luck when she is picked out of all the applicants to land the job of recording Renegade Saint's Farewell Tour and the telling of all the member's life stories. Devon has been a fan of the band for years just like the rest of the general population but when she meets them in person she feels an instant connection with one member in particular. The more time Devon spends with Cole the deeper the connection they seem to develop but he keeps telling her they need to wait for Ian to decide if he is all in or not...

Ian Monroe is the band's biographer and has been interviewing all the members of Renegade Saint's for the last week. Ian is the quintessential California boy with the blond hair / blue eyes / toned physique that would look more at home on a surfboard then anything else. Cole is attracted to the man and makes no secret about wanting him to join in on his relationship with Devon. While Ian isn't decided exactly what he wants he asks for time to make up his mind about whether or not he wants to join them...

Cole Hayes is a devilishly handsome man that is all about having a good time. As long as everyone is on the same page and no one gets hurt then he figures he can play his guitar and hook-up with both male and female partners simultaneously. Cole has fierce commitment issues that stem from things that he witnessed as a child and chooses never to get close enough to get hurt. What Cole didn't expect was breaking his rules for Devon while waiting on Ian to decide if he was going to join in on the fun...

I love the Renegade Saint's family and I seriously want Grandma Rand as part of my own family. With only one band member's story left I am getting nervous because I am pretty sure Tyson's book will slay me. I literally can't wait to read it though :)
