Branna Murphy is broken. For months now she has been a part of a one-sided relationship to a man she loves more than life itself. She prayed for a miracle, and hoped something would change, but found that was wishful thinking.
Talking didn’t work. Shouting didn’t work. Crying didn’t work. Nothing bloody worked.
Ryder Slater is furious. For months now he has been lying to a woman he would take a bullet for in order to protect her. He is involved in something that goes deeper than his old past, and if he strays off target, people will start to die. People he loves.
He couldn’t talk. He couldn’t slip up. He couldn’t lose focus. He couldn’t do a damn thing.
Things between Ryder and Branna are at rock bottom, and Ryder knows it. Not only will he be taking on a force that could destroy his whole family, but he will be battling tooth and nail to save his relationship and keep the love of his life by his side.
Ryder targeted Branna from the first moment he saw her, and what Ryder targets, Ryder dominates.

“Just tellin’ you like it is,” I smirked. “Kid.”
Ash growled. “You have five-seconds.”
Oh, shit.
I stood up and quickly scurried around to the other side of our work counter, and placed my hands in front of my chest.
“Ash,” I warned, my voice low. “Don’t even think about it.”
He rounded the station and advanced on me, a smirk playing on his lips.
“Don’t!” I said firmly, hoping my no-bullshit-demeanour would give him reason to stop.
It didn’t, if anything, it only fuelled the freak to come at me faster.
“No!” I shrieked and made a move to dive behind the counter but Ash was too fast, and caught me mid-air.
He set me down, and full on assaulted my sides with his fingertips as he tickled me. I laughed, shrieked some more, and did the strangest moves known to man as I made my bid to escape the terror.
“Mercy!” I laughed. “For the love of God, mercy!”
Ash pulled back on his tickling but kept hold of me as I steadied myself and came down from my laughing high. I was about to playfully sucker punch him and make a run for the break room when I heard my name being… bellowed.

AMIE'S 5 STAR REVIEW
Can you believe we are FINALLY getting Branna and Ryder's story !! We met them in book 1 and they have been together ever since. At first their relationship was in the background due to Bronagh and Dominic , then it was in the spotlight due to the WOW factor and now for years they have been there - the oldest of the 2 families , always looking out for the others , always protecting and fiercely loving their family. Somewhere in the last book or so they have lost their passion for each other. Things are changing , they are changing. Branna is losing her faith in Ryder , he is hiding something and the assumptions suck !! Will these two be able to salvage their relationship or will this family be torn with their break up ?? I was sick reading this , I hated wondering what would happen and knowing there was a possibility for heartache. After every book in this series I always feel like I have a new fave but I have come to the conclusion that I could never pick a fave. The guys , the girls , they are all amazing and funny and rude and fierce and did I say funny !! I am just waiting for one piece of their story to come without any dangerous drama...is that a possibility ?? LOL

There has been so much danger and drama the past 5 years it is a wonder anyone has stayed sane. They are all slightly crazy in their own ways yet they are one of the best Book Families I have read. After realizing that Branna and Ryder are having issues you can't help but wonder if they will be the ones to not survive the drama. They have helped and healed just about everyone in their family but who will be there to do that for them ?? It was sad to read of Branna's struggles and her despair. The feelings she had of losing herself and losing her Ryder really made me feel. There is always such raw emotion in these books which I love. I enjoyed getting their past , finally seeing how they came together and exactly how much they have put on the line time and time again. With Ryder slipping further away Branna is coming to the conclusion that it is time for her to make a choice, does she stay with Ryder and accept unhappiness or does she leave and try to pick up the pieces of herself and get back on track. You will think the worst of Ryder yet he will also pour his heart out at times so you can imagine the confusion. Their chemistry has always been amazing and no doubt this book has some heat !! In present time there are so many milestones happening , babies being born , engagements , pregnancies , relationship realizations etc etc - the story moves along at a fast pace and definitely keeps you hooked. As always there is drama that comes to torment them due to the guys pasts - suspense and danger take over and the outcome is questionable at times. Hang on for the ride and stay tuned for what comes next !!
