Widower Caleb Lawson has resigned himself to a life of farming and family functions. He never expects to find another love like he had with his wife, much less remarry. But once his mother brings home Sofia Nogales to help her get back on her feet, he starts to reconsider his expectations. Sofia is beautiful, witty, and so full of life that his arms ache to hold her.

Determined to make a new life for herself, former head chef Sofia Nogales hopped on the first bus to the east coast and refused to look back. However, she never dreamed a series of bad events would have her end up in Jessamine, North Carolina as the guest of Dinah Lawson. Nor did she ever dream of meeting someone like Dinah’s son Caleb—the sexy farmer, who keeps everything to himself… except the heated look in his eyes.

But when the opportunity comes knocking—to the tune of cooking at an already established and popular restaurant two states away, will Caleb be able to convince her to stay?

REVIEW

Love So Unexpected is book six in the series and they are holding steady as one of the best low drama, feel good, family focused, romance series I have read to date. The Lawson's are a tight knit family in Jessamine, North Carolina where southern hospitality and small town charm reign supreme. With five of the eight Lawson brothers happily coupled up it now seems to be Caleb's turn for his second shot at a HEA...

Sofia Nogales is on a mission to relocate her life from Flagstaff, AZ to Atlanta, Ga where she hopes to be a chef at a very trendy restaurant with a friend from culinary school. During her cross country trip one catastrophe after another has Sofia landing in Jessamine, NC and contacting her mother's dear friend Dinah Lawson. Sofia is made to feel welcome and given a place to stay at the Lawson family home until she can find a job and get back on her feet but she insists on paying her own way and helping out Dinah and her husband anyway she can. What she did not expect to find was the quiet yet very handsome farmer that runs the Lawson's farm...

Caleb is the second oldest boy in the Lawson clan and where most of the other members of his family enjoy being in the spotlight he tends to quietly keep to himself and run the family farm. Caleb married his highschool sweetheart and lost her and their unborn child in a tragic car accident thirteen years ago and he hasn't really even dated anyone since. Seemingly out of no where a curvy, beautiful woman shows up at his parents dinner table and feelings Caleb thought were long buried have seem to stir back to life...

This was one of my favorite of the Love So books so far with Caleb finally coming out of his shell and learning to live again. This book made you laugh, cry and all around feel good. Only two more brothers to go :)
