This was a quick and easy read. A bit different than anything else I have read by Addison. I love this author and her romantic suspense and MC stories are great - this was more of a holiday - second chance romance yet there was still the strong sense of family and loyalty that Addison loves to give !!
Sadly Brant and Holly have been through a divorce and Holly is about to face the Christmas holiday without her kids and she is hurting. We get a glimpse into the painful past and the choices that drove Holly to ask Brant to leave. They went through such a tragedy and I understand they were both in a bad place but it is annoying to know a simple conversation may have prevented this family breakdown. As it stands now they are both still very much in love with each other. The kids are adjusting yet they want their dad to make things right. Brant is trying and Holly continues to resist. Their group of friends have had enough and come up with a scheme to work magic at the holidays. Will it work or will it make matters worse ?? Come along for the holiday ride and see if Brant and Holly can finally have that talk and fix their marriage.
