Sheri's Review of Unbreakable by Max Henry ~ RELEASE BLITZ ~

Title: Unbreakable
Series: Fallen Aces MC #1.5
Author: Max Henry
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date: May 31, 2016
Even after a broken heart is repaired, can the scars be too many for it to beat the same again?

Six years and a promotion to club president later, I’ve finally had enough of her excuses. The lies have to stop. She IS worth the risk, I’ve NEVER gone a day without thinking about her or my son, and I know underneath it all she DOES still love me.

This time, she'll come home for good … she just doesn’t know it yet.

I have been patiently waiting for this couples conclusion for what felt like ages and I was ecstatic when I opened my Kindle and found it. I couldn't put it down and devoured it within one sitting. However it seemed to take me a long time to write a review, I guess I just couldn't sum this book up. So here it goes....

Unbreakable is the second part to Max's Unrequited (Fallen Aces MC Book 1) and picks up right where book 1 ended. Both King and Elena are separated but not by choice. The Fallen Aces are quickly going down the tubes and King doesn't know what to do. To be loyal to the club is to let Elena slip away. But there must be a away to get her back without starting a war? Or is war worth it?

Elena is a prisoner in her own home, well at least in Carlos' home that is. However with the help of her husbands bodyguard and maid, she is able to escape and make it to her rendezvous point where King is waiting for her. But not everything is what it seems. She soon realizes that King didn't leave club life and is going to stash her away at his parents house until all of this blows over. However, Elena feels like he is putting her on the back burners and soon realizes that she can't seem to forgive him for letting her go in the first place. With nothing else to do, pregnant Elena sneaks off and leaves for a better life.

There is as 6 year gap in the story line, where both Elena and King make dramatic changes in their lives but when trouble comes back in the form of Elena's husband, are they safe? Can King get her back and make her his top priority? Or will Elena keep her distance and her child away from King?

Now on to my personal options of the characters:
Elena - Well there were times when I wanted to slap some sense into her. I found that at certain parts of the book she was snotty, judgemental and thought she was strong enough to not need any help. But as soon as those thoughts were in my head, she would do a 180 and become a loving and understanding person. I guess with all of her trauma and bad experiences, it can make one's emotions and thought process flip flop.

King - What can I say about him? The poor thing is divided throughout the whole book. Is he to be loyal to the club or Elena? Why can't she seem to understand that he can do both? At certain parts King shows his true Alpha Male self and I couldn't keep the smile off my face. He took everything Elena throw at him and kept loving her. Not many men would do that.

Please know that this book does feature The Butcher Boys and makes references to characters and events that happen in their stories. I would recommend reading the series in order to get a full picture.

Total 5 Star read Max, now just give me Sawyer's story and I will be set for life. Hopefully he is the one to be able to take down Carlos.

REVIEWED BY SHERIhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1646180438

Max is the author of dark, and highly emotional romance. Her Butcher Boys series is centered around a group of ex-street kids who have teamed up with an indebted motorcycle club to take down a notorious drug lord. And her new series, the Fallen Aces MC, is a spin-off from this dark and dangerous world. Her writing has been described as 'gripping', and 'addictive', taking you on an 'emotional roller coaster ride'. Originally born and bred in New Zealand, Max now resides with her family in beautiful and sunny Queensland, Australia. Life with two young children can be hectic at times, and although she may not write as often as she would like, Max wouldn't change a thing. When she's not engrossed in her dark and twisted fictional worlds, she can be found enjoying the outdoors while 4wd-ing with her family.
