BLURB

It's said that your life flashes before your eyes when you die.
It must only happen to those whose lives were worthy.
Clearly, mine was not.

The only thing that happened to me was a repeat of what I thought was my death.
The blast of the gun as it went off.
The loss of my breath as two hundred pounds of dead weight dropped on top of me.
And then darkness.
This replayed over and over.

When the guy squatted down next to me and asked if I was hurt, the only thing I could see, feel,
hear, were those few seconds.
Even now, as I sat in the back of a blacked out van—it was the only thing that ran through my mind.
Gunshot, breath, darkness.

REVIEW

Redemptive is the more than five star, second book in the Combative series and after the cliffhanger in book one I was crazy excited to read this as soon as it hit my kindle but those pesky things like a job, chores and sleep kept getting in my way but once I had the chance to dive in it was full steam ahead. So many different questions or doubts or what if's for book one kept running through my head so I was anxious to see how it was all gonna play out.

So in the last book we were introduced to a bunch of different characters but really delved into Ky and Madison's dynamics. This time around we dig even deeper and become more engrossed in this story but the focus is now on the supposed "bad guy" from Combative - Nate Deluca and it takes place six years prior. Six years ago the girl we all know as Madison - is really named Bailey and she was with Nate as in WITH Nate. So yes, once again we are all in for one heck of a ride...

Bailey (Madison) is fully explained in this book we realize how she ended up on the streets and with Nate. All the times we thought her odd and quirky are also explained and expounded on too yet her relationship with Nate was so different from her relationship with Ky but that is a good thing, right?...

Nate Deluca the supposed bad guy is so NOT what he is made out to be and more a product of circumstances. He loves fierce and completely but that certainly isn't a bad thing, is it?...

Then there is Tiny this guy is awesome and he is Nate's "go to" for all things and the keeper of the "bro code"...

Arghhh, one more book and then we will all have answers. Destructive is the next book in the series and I honestly have no idea where she will go with it because she only gave us more food for thought with this one :)
