It's been the butterfly effect.
I changed the course of my life because I warned a man.
I thought what I had was a gift, but it's quickly turning into my curse.
Now I realize I'm much more than a girl with an ability.
Because now... I'm becoming a weapon.

On the heels of a cliffhanger in The Gift, author Margaret McHeyzer creates a smooth transition with the next installment of the series in The Curse.
Now being held captive by a ruthless killer, Alexa is being forced to use her gift to see the future to benefit Enzo in his business dealings. The drama level is high in this installment because her kidnappers are awful people. With threats of violence hanging over her head, Alexis tries to find a way out. This part of the storyline seemed particularly vivid, with clear descriptions about the scary guards and their leering glances.
Jude's character excels in communicating frustration that even with his vast resources, Alexis is out of his reach. While he was depicted as a villain for part of the first story, he gets full hero status in this installment.
As she deals with the fallout of using her enhanced senses, Alexis learns a lot about love and loss. I found this installment to be more appealing because of the significant amount of drama and intrigue. It was well worth the time spent reading it.

NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLER OF UGLY AND MISTRUST
**Write something worth reading**
I'm Margaret and I'm a self-published author.
I'm Margaret and I'm a self-published author.
Recently I was fortunate in obtaining New York Times best selling status on my YA/NA book - Ugly, and my YA book - Mistrust.
My last three books have been YA and I'm completely in love with the genre. I love being able to communicate with people through my words and stories.
My writing genres all differ, but the one thing I keep consistent is my heroines. All my female lead characters are strong, gutsy and not the 'perfect' woman. While my books all have romantic elements in them, they aren't just about the romance. They're about finding strength, acceptance and making life long connections.
I hope you enjoy my stories as much as I have while writing them.
