Wilder Cover

He’s Paxton Wilder.Twenty-two-year-old, tattooed, smoking-hot leader of the Renegades. Five time X Games medalist. The world is his playground—especially this year—and for the next nine months I’m stuck as his tutor on the Study at Sea program. He’s too busy staging worldwide stunts for his documentary to get to class. But if I can’t get him to take academics seriously, I’ll lose my scholarship…if I don’t lose my heart first. Six unlikely friends on a nine-month cruise with the Study at Sea program will learn that chemistry is more than a subject and the best lessons aren’t taught in the classroom…but in the heart.

4.5 stars for the first book in the Renegades series which features Paxton Wilder and the woman he falls hard and fast for - Eleanor "Leah"  Baxter. This book is completely separate from any of the author's previous books and centers around X Games contestants - The Renegades year on board The Athena which is a ship that doubles as a college campus. This ship travels all over the world and the students on board not only attend regular classes but the excursions they take at ports of call are used for college credit too.
Leah decided to step out of her protective shell and live a little but the very last thing in the world she expected was an X Games medalist to be the man she would be tutoring. In order for Leah to qualify for her work study scholarship the student Leah is tutoring also has to pass all of their classes so she is determined to do well until she gets to the ship and sees exactly what she is working with.
The ringleader of the Renegades is the one and only Paxton Wilder who is as gorgeous as he is crazy and just so happens to be allowing a camera crew to film his every move while aboard the ship. Paxton has numerous plans for epic stunts at some of the more exotic locations that the ship is stopping in but his new tutor keeps harping on him to show up in class. Paxton would rather pay attention to Leah than he would to her lectures but knows it will take a lot of convincing for that to happen yet the man can dream right...
This was a great start to the series with tons of adventure and all the beautifully described exotic locations. Plus all the steamy sexy times mixed with mystery wrapped up to make this one great book to read / review :)

Rebecca Yarros

Rebecca Yarros is a hopeless romantic and a lover of all things coffee, chocolate, and Paleo. She is the author of the Flight & Glory series, including Full Measures, the award-winning Eyes Turned Skyward, Beyond What is Given, and Hallowed Ground. She loves military heroes, and has been blissfully married to hers for fourteen years. When she’s not writing, she’s tying hockey skates for her four sons, sneaking in some guitar time, or watching brat-pack movies with her two daughters. She lives in Colorado with the hottest Apache pilot ever, their rambunctious gaggle of kids, an English bulldog who is more stubborn than sweet, and a bunny named General Fluffy Pants who torments the aforementioned bulldog. They recently adopted their youngest daughter from the foster system, and Rebecca is passionate about helping others do the same.
