Growing up with the store-typical "All American" family, Hattie was what you may considered a sheltered child. Her only form of rebellion was hanging out with her bestie but then half the time she was left behind for someone better. When she was 16, Hattie found herself in a sticky situation but was rescued by a sexy and gritty biker......Fast forward 3 years and the last place she thought she would end up was with her dream man again.
Johnny AKA "Dirty" never had it easy as a child. With a drug addicted mother and a womanizer for a father, what did everyone expect him to become....A lawyer? Hell NO! With a running off, Johnny found himself a new family (a biker family) to give him just what he always wanted. He was free to do whatever and whoever he wanted and not be judged. However when he stumbled upon a young girl getting harassed, he didn't think she would leave a impression. Little did he know that she would imprint on his mind and walk back into his world 3 years later.
Hattie and Johnny's relationship is somewhat of a unlikely pair. Hattie is so young, inexperienced and naive but opens up to Johnny and his new lifestyle. Johnny does a fantastic job not only excepting Hattie and her nativity but also her family issues. He is totally willing to do just about anything to prove that she is the woman for him.
There is a small part in the book where the couple breaks up but that is quickly corrected when danger is on the horizon and Hattie gets kidnapped. But can their love last when the odds are stacked against them? Will Johnny realize that he can be a "one woman man" or will he go back to his old ways? Will Hattie be woman enough for Johnny and make a go at her "own" dreams"?
OMFG Ladies, if you like them dirty, gritty and sexy as hell then this is the book for you. Haley Faiman outdid herself with her newest book Rough and Rugged. Can we just say that Johnny was the typical biker that can melt anyone's panties. The things he said and did made me blush 10 shades of red and I found myself re-reading some of his sweet comments to and about Hattie. Oh and a side note: the cover model is the perfect depiction of what Johnny would look like. Great Choice!!!!
This is #3 in the Notorious Devils Series, however you can read each one as a stand alone. This book does have previous characters from the past books but their stories are barely touched on, which makes it great for someone who wants to dabble with "Dirty" and just read his story. I do recommend that you read Book 1 & 2 because if you think this anit-hero is great then you should know the other men in his crew.
