3.5 stars for the newest stand-alone from Meghan Quinn that tells the tale of a out of work sound mixer that is desperate to find a job anywhere in Hollywood and the reality couple that she eventually decides to work for. This book is filled with all the usual crazy Meghan Quinn characters that make you laugh out loud and sometimes even cringe at their level of awkward.
Paisley Macarro missed her cue shutting off a microphone trying to do a favor for her grandfather and has been black-listed in Hollywood ever since. Months later her roommate is tired of coming up with her portion of the rent and suggests a job as an assistant to a reality show celebrity. Paisley is willing to do whatever she can to get her foot back in the door even if she does have to work with the atrocious Bellini. At least she gets to travel and admire Bellini's extremely attractive boyfriend - Reese as part of her job too.
Reese King knows this is the very last Olympics he will ever compete in and refuses to settle for anything less than a gold medal. The only issue being is his life after swimming and his agent is worried about what he will do. His people decided to fabricate a relationship with a reality star after the one time he was spotted out and about with the starlet, it went viral on social media. Reese can't really stand to speak to Bellini let alone date her but his agent insists it's the best thing for his career. While on set one day a beautiful, exotic new assistant for both Bellini and Reese shows up and Reese is instantly drawn to this girl. Reese can't wait to get to know her better and is determined to not let anything get in his way.
This book was a good start to the series with lots of laugh out loud moments. The first two thirds of the book were a bit slow for my tastes but it picked up quite a bit in the last third. The only I had was the writing in Bellini's POV - I didn't care for it at all and felt it detracted from the story. I actually got to a point where I did just skip over her parts altogether. For the most part though is was well written and contained lots of laughs. Perfectly planned with the summer games right around the corner too :)

Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
