AMIE'S 4 STAR REVIEW

This was a GREAT story - sadly I need to read books 1 &2 BUT I don't feel like I was reading anything out of order. I just knew I was missing out on other great stories and felt jealous of those who read them in order !! AL Jackson is a go to author for me. i read anything and everything she writes. Years and years ago someone told me to read Pulled and I never looked back !! Here I am years later , tons of stories later and still getting the same feels from her writing as I did then. The angst , the emotion and always something in the storyline to keep me hooked until the end.

Mack and Izzy are about to find their second chance at love. They had a great friendship as kids and Izzy was there for Mack when he struggled through life with his father. The stories of the past were heartbreaking to read but I was so glad to have those pieces of the puzzle. Of course we can feel for Izzy and her broken heart but once you get to know more and more of what Mack went through back then you can start to understand his actions more. I won't say you will like his actions but maybe you can forgive him and move on !! Keep in mind this isn't just a love story it is filled with suspense too. Clarissa's piece in the story isn't much deserved but again helps us to understand Mack a bit more. Fear drove them apart, fate brings them back together and love heals all wounds.

Having read a few books by this author before I knew I would enjoy this. I am a sucker for the second chance , childhood sweetheart , friends to lovers types of books and this is all that wrapped into 1. Friends then young love then quick marriage then ghosted for years and now here we have them face to face. Jenna and Crispin were young and in love , sharing firsts and building dreams. Crispin's homelife was on the rocks and his mom got a job that would move them far away. As heartbroken as he and Jenna were they decided marriage was the only way to solve their problem and keep them together. They married , he moved , they carried on with life separately but then all of sudden it stopped. No communication , no idea what happened and no clue where Crispin had disappeared to or WHY. Jenna was brave to say the least I would have crumbled , and she did at times BUT she has held onto their love and has faith that she will find him and get back to where they should be. As she goes off to college she begins to make friends and go out and enjoy life. She doesn't share the full story of her trouble but she does make sure EVERYONE knows she is married. This girl is determined that Crispin still loves her and is as committed to her as she him. When one of her so called new friends has too much to drink and is harassing a non willing guy at a party Jenna steps in to pry her away and you can guess but will never guess who the guy is...BINGO !! Regardless if it seems predictable or easy BUT that is part of the appeal , we have been waiting for this moment since we started the story and FINALLY have it... Where has he been , WHY did he stop contact and HOW can they or he fix this. Now we find out that Crispin's family has been struggling for years with issues and his father is no longer the man Jenna once knew as happy. He is miserable and has made his children the same. Promises made give Crispin the feeling of hopelessness but his love for Jenna is undeniable and he needs to grow the balls to face his father and be a MAN and HUSBAND !! Anyhow - you can imagine there is back and forth , excitement of reconnection and of course a bit of poor choices and aggravation. The things dreams are made of for the readers !! In the end we have an HEA and no cheating or any of the other people crap that can ruin a great story !!

OMG I love second chance romances - especially when you get to go back to childhood and see the couple as cute little kids saying the sweetest things !! Of course in reality there are years of heartache and then distance between our 2 main characters BUT it doesn't take long for them to realize nothing has changed when it comes to feelings and desires. If only they spoke up years ago !!

Lucas was the typical boy next door - he accepted Maddy as one of the boys and even when she grew and changed and fell for him he still acted clueless. He of course went on to be the typical football star and hot guy at school. Everyone around town knew how Maddy felt BUT Lucas never did a thing about it. NOw after years apart they find themselves together at home and Lucas realizes that he never should have treated Maddy the way he did. There is a bit of angst , some heartache , some bad choices and then some serious hotness !! I always love a CAH book because she gives you a bit of everything and wraps it up nicely in a quick read story !!

I love HEA stories, as long as they come packing a little heat. I need some excitement, some angst, and moments that make me fan my face are always good too. I am an Illinois girl, born and raised. Simple and true, it honestly doesn’t take much to make me happy. I love the little things; they truly mean the most. I may have a slight addiction to my new Keurig—oh my, that thing is a godsend. And so fast too. I have two children who truly are my very best friends, and their faces never fail to put a smile on my face. I have been married to my husband for sixteen years, and even though at times I want to beat him with a stick, I would never change the years we have had. We have learned and fallen, only to pick each other up, dust off the ache, and help each other make it right. I am one of those authors that adore my fans. I love to hear from you. Well, I was a huge reader. From childhood, I loved the escape of reading. Being the middle of three kids, I was always the quiet one. While my older brother and younger sister fought for attention, I curled up in my room with a book. After high school, I fell out of reading as much. Life just became different, as it does for all of us. Then I went to college in my mid-twenties and who had time to read anything but school texts between classes and two jobs. I was also an assistant Girl Scout leader for my young cousins troop. The leader had been telling me for months that I needed to read Twilight. There was so much hype surrounding those books (The first movie had just come out on DVD at the time) and I refused over and over. Finally, we were at camp one weekend and it was the first time that the girls were officially in charge of everything. From rotating teams in the kitchen to clean up, the girls did it all and we were bored out of our minds. Finally, a van full of us went into the nearest town and raided a Wal Mart for books and cards to play games. The leader talked me into buying Twilight. I started it that afternoon and couldn't put it down. I stayed up til lights out and could barely sleep because I wanted to keep reading. The best part was, the girls were so excited. They were all running up to me all day asking me what part I was at. Their excitement fueled my own. That is what got me excited about reading again. The story was good, I enjoyed it, but the passion for reading was really brought back through the eyes of sixteen twelve-year-olds who loved sharing something they enjoyed with me. Maybe that's why I love sharing what I enjoy now!

As she was gearing up for the “you shouldn’t be reading this” lecture, I told her the characters get married in the end. I’m just glad she didn’t find the Bertrice Small book hidden in my closet. I have diverse reading tastes, evident by the wide array of genres on my Kindle. As I made the transition to an e-reader, I found myself worrying that something could happen to it. Fifty Shades of Grey gets high marks on my favorites list — not for character development or dialogue (definitely not!), but because it blazed new ground for those of us who believe provocative fiction is more than just an explicit cover. Sylvia Day, Lexi Blake and Alexx Andria are some of my favorite authors. Speaking of diverse tastes, I also enjoy Christine Feehan, Iris Johansen and J.A. Konrath. Give me something with a well-defined storyline, add some suspense (or spice), and I am a happy reader. Give me a happily ever after, and I am downright giddy.

My name is Sheri from New Orleans and I will reading anything that has a HEA (I don't do well with sad endings), a macho Alpha Male or something with a strong female lead. I go absolutely crazy for any type of book that involves a MC (being a biker's wife its a lifestyle I kinda understand) or anything that deals with emotionally broken characters. I got into the reading game kinda late in life. I couldn't stand to read when I was younger but now I rather read a book than watch tv. Growing up, I of course complained about the required reading but secretly loved the happily ever afters as opposed to the tragedies. My wonderful "techie" hubby bought me the first generation Sony e-reader for Christmas one year and the rest is pretty much history. I am the only girl in a house full of boys that know undoubtedly that all women (including me) should be treated like a princess. It still makes me laugh that my love affair with books started with Frog and Toad not 50 shades.
