Jill's Review of Kiss My Boots by Harper Sloan ~ REVIEW TOUR ~

In this second of the sultry, Western-set Coming Home series from New York Times bestselling author Harper Sloan, Quinn Davis might finally have a shot at her own happily-ever-after—but will she let love in, or will she tell it to go ahead and kiss her boots?

Quinn Davis prefers to live her life quietly. She’s the stereotypical tomboy with two overprotective big brothers who have always been there to protect her, especially from devilishly handsome cowboys with silver tongues. That is, until Tate Montgomery comes riding into town. Their first meeting, however, is far from something out of a fairy tale and only further convinces Quinn that men aren’t worth her time.

The only place Tate Montgomery ever truly felt at home growing up was during the long, sweltering summer months he spent at his Gram and Paw’s farm in Pine Oak, Texas. Now, Tate has returned to his childhood sanctuary seeking a fresh start—but if he’s being entirely honest, he’s not just back for the wranglers and Stetsons. During those summers, Quinn was a friend-turned-young-love who Tate lost when life threw him a curveball and he cut all ties to his past; but all it takes is one glance at the raven-haired beauty he did his best to forget for him to realize just how much he’s been missing….

REVIEWED BY JILL

4.5 stars for - Kiss My Boots - book two in the Coming Home series by Harper Sloan. While some of these characters were introduced in book one - Long Way Home - this book can be read and enjoyed as a complete stand-alone. While I am in no way a fan of cowboys or anything down home on the range - I do enjoy this author's writing and this book made me fall in love with her work all over again.
Quinn Davis is a beautiful, confident mechanic in the town of Pine Oak, Texas. She prefers to keep her heart on lockdown after having it shattered nine years ago. While hanging out with her best friend and brothers at a bar in town the man that broke her heart all those years ago walks in looking better than he ever did before.
Tate Montgomery spent his summers in Pine Oak and was best friends with Quinn Davis, but the summer they turned eighteen their innocent friendship turned into so much more. Going away to college proved to be more challenging than he anticipated especially when someone decided to ruin things for him. Now that he is  taking over his grandfather's practice he will do whatever it takes to win back Quinn once and for all.
This book was a classic Harper Sloan romance from the sassy heroine who makes you laugh out loud to the alpha hero who makes you swoon - I absolutely fell in love. All the off the charts chemistry and smoking hot sexy times didn't hurt either! Can't wait for the next book in the series :)
