Series: Fallen Aces MC #4
Author: Max Henry
Genre: MC Romance Suspense
How much suffering can a man withstand before he finally breaks? A question I used to ask myself often. Now I know the answer.
As president of the Fallen Aces MC Fort Worth chapter, I’m looked to for guidance in times of crisis. I’m expected to set personal grievances aside and lead by example. Yet how can I do that when those grievances robbed me of my family, my life? My reason to be at the head of the table?
My father: murdered. My baby sister: killed the same day. And my other sister? A mystery. I’m drowning in my desolation and yet nobody seems to care. Or maybe it’s the fact I won’t let them close enough to help? Either way, my losses are my own, and I’ll deal with them the only way I know how—by punishing myself.
I’ve got it all figured out, at least, I thought I did. Until one woman, a traveller passing by, unravels the master plan. I see it in her eyes, the same distance, the same feeling that she doesn’t belong—that her time here is wasted.
One woman who mirrors me in every way, and suddenly I find a reason to hold off the reaper a little longer. A reason to stay at the head of the table. A reason to show those who’ve hurt me that, although they brought the beast to its knees, I won’t lay down to die without a fight.
Existential is book number four in the Fallen Aces MC series, but can be read as a standalone.

What could possibly happen when a "Free Spirited" drifter meets a man of authority and control?
Existential is the story of Josiah "Hooch" and Dagne "Fairy" who come together out of need and soon realize that by using each other might not be all that bad.
Our story starts with Dagne just trying to make it on her own by stealing food. However when she is just about to get caught a hero in leather steps up to the plate for her. Making a deal with "Digits", Dagne agrees to catch a ride on his bike to the club house for a much needed shower and meal. But when our heroine arrives she is greeted with a not to friendly President. Can she just get her shower and go or will Dagne get sucked in by the MC?
Hooch has a ton of things on his plate. Secret deals with the DEA, a "missing" sister and a club to run the last thing he needed was for a member to bring a stranger into the mix. Who cares if she is gorgeous and has the body of a goddess. That is one problem he just can't seem to take on. But after some careful thought, Hooch decides that in order to trust his new border he must put her to work. However when Dagne accepts the challenge, Hooch gets more than what he barging for. When push comes to shove, Hooch now faces another dilemma: his growing feelings for the "run away drifter".
This story is another great addition to the Fallen Aces Series and could be read as a stand alone, however in order to get the full picture I highly recommend reading the entire series. That way you can see somewhat of the other characters backstory. Max has done a fantastic job with these characters and I say this every time I read one of her books that the latest hero is my favorite. But Hooch I think tops it for me. There is something about this broken man that sets a readers heart strings going. Maybe it's because he has so much on his plate and asks for no help. Or maybe its his willingness to let in just the right person. There is just something about him. And Dagne, well she gives just as good as she gets. I found that Dagne's character was extremely well written and wasn't your typical mousey girl who constantly needed to be wooed. She gave Hooch a run for his money and lets just say her interaction with a notorious clue whore was priceless. The supporting characters in this book were also well written. We visit a number of previous characters from the other books in the Fallen Aces and Butcher Boys Series and I love how Max has kept their stories alive by including them in this book.
I can't wait for the next installment in this series..........Total 5 star read.
Max is the author of dark, and highly emotional romance. Her Butcher Boys series is centered around a group of ex-street kids who have teamed up with an indebted motorcycle club to take down a notorious drug lord. And her new series, the Fallen Aces MC, is a spin-off from this dark and dangerous world. Her writing has been described as 'gripping', and 'addictive', taking you on an 'emotional roller coaster ride'. Originally born and bred in New Zealand, Max now resides with her family in beautiful and sunny Queensland, Australia. Life with two young children can be hectic at times, and although she may not write as often as she would like, Max wouldn't change a thing. When she's not engrossed in her dark and twisted fictional worlds, she can be found enjoying the outdoors while 4wd-ing with her family.
