This is one of those stories that weaves a twisted web of lies and secrets. Once you are drawn in you can't escape until you have it all figured out. I have shared many things for this author in the past but this is my first time reading her work. The synop intrigued me because I do love dark , twisted and of course suspense.

 Since Rose suffered the loss of her father she had been taken under the wing of a powerful man. Now as an adult she is an assassin for him and has finally landed the job that will give her the revenge she has wanted. The son of the man responsible for her father's death !! Luca is soon to be taking over for his father as mob boss , also belonging to a powerful family. When Rose comes into his life he is so taken by her and intrigued that he breaks all kinds of rules and easily allows her into his world. As we come to know each character and the things that drive them to be who they are we find there is so much more to the story than a simple job for revenge. The connections , the betrayals and the danger will have you hanging on the edge and the steamy connection between Luca and Rose will have you almost forgetting about the bigger picture. Can the pieces of the puzzle come together before it is too late ?? 

Renea Porter is best known for writing realistic stories with realistic characters. Her stories may even cause you to shed a tear or two. She mainly writes New Adult and Contemporary Romances. However, she's not afraid to venture into other genre's like Paranormal Romance.

She enjoys spending time with her husband of fourteen years, and step son. She calls Pennsylvania home, but loves to travel and try new things. In her free time you can catch her reading books, watching reality tv, and baking.
