AMIE'S 4 STAR REVIEW
So I totally missed the release with this BUT here I am weeks later finally finished !! I enjoyed book 1 so this was a no brainer. I will say for some reason I felt it started off slow or with a lot that I didn't grasp because of my own exhaustion. I stopped reading and picked it back up a few weeks later and had a clear mind and was really able to connect the characters from start to finish. I enjoy this author so I am so happy that I made the choice to stop and go back. Sometimes I feel people push through and then really miss out.
Anton and Piper were a great match. The dark and light finding the perfect space. Anton's past was horrendous and I loved reading his parts in book 1. I was thrilled to get his story and finally see him have some happiness. It was also nice to revisit with Damien and Thea to see how they had grown. This was about chance meetings and fate. I loved the dance aspect of it and the way those things all connected with the good Anton now does for the community. The suspense and danger was just the right amount to keep you on the edge but not overpower the love story building. Of course there was angst and resistance but no lack of fulfillment when the two were together. As much light as Piper had she was definitely a great match for Anton in the bedroom. I liked how things pieced together towards the end and of course wonder if anyone else will have a story...
