I fell in love with Thomas Wells and knew he was my forever.
I was sixteen when I gave him my heart.
Our love was the kind to last a lifetime.
But Thomas was broken.
The first day we met he told me he was going to become a Navy SEAL.
At nineteen he enlisted.
At twenty he married me.
At twenty five he left me pregnant and didn't turn back.
I knew he was suffering….
I also knew I couldn't save him.
He left me broken.
I was scared and alone.
Until I met Ryder St. John a wounded soldier…
He was lost.
I was lost.
Together we made sense.
I fell in love again…
What Ryder forgot to mention was that he held a secret so explosive that it could shatter both our worlds.

AMIE'S 5 STAR REVIEW

WOW - this needs an ugly cry warning !! I felt I knew what was going to happen but I was a bit off , what really happens is so much more than I imagined - it was devastating yet amazing all in one !! Good luck because once you start you won't stop !!

Thomas and Halo come together at a time when both their lives were feeling hopeless. Thomas had the horrible childhood/family life and Halo had the opposite. In the short time Thomas and Halo have been together Halo's parents disapprove and this causes tension. Halo has this instant connection and love for Thomas as he does her , they are 15 and 17 , young love at its best. Nobody else matters and we have all been there. When devastation hits Thomas steps in to care for Halo as he had never been cared for before. Their lives mesh , their dreams will come together and despite Thomas having the desire to become a SEAL , he will get Halo where she needs to be before he leaves her. We all know what happens overseas in war - Thomas cannot handle it and the decisions he makes during his times home set the story to take an unexpected turn.

Alone with nowhere to turn Halo faces many struggles on her own. Now on her new venture she meets someone that seems to help. Will this new friend turn out to be more than she ever imagined ?? Ryder and Halo need each other but there is a connection they just cannot explain. As memories come back and time goes by we see exactly what we hoped for - what some could only dream , it is amazing yet heartbreaking yet amazing all at once !! I feared a love triangle , I feared cheating , I feared death - so many things keeping me on the edge of my seat , heightening my emotions. It was great !!
