AMIE'S REVIEW
This is a 3.5-4 star read. 

I couldn't wait to pick up where Depraved left off and get to the bottom of the fire and the other alarming things going on around Gabrielle. JD is still keeping secrets but slowly opening up to a trusted few attempting to get more help , he won't let go of the notion that his father is to blame for every single thing that has gone wrong in his life. As Gabrielle recovers from the fire and loss of everything she keeps her wall up trying to fight JD at every turn. She is tired of the secrets , tired of the over protective nature BUT yet so thankful for his love and support especially with her parents. It is a fine line for them and the slightest thing could mean the end. The story is still very much full of suspense and mystery. I feel like we get some answers but yet other answers are left out. In the end I enjoyed the story and would love to get more about JD's brothers. I really think the family has an intriguing story and could see it continuing on.

AMIE'S 4 STAR REVIEW

OMG I chose this because the blurb and the appeal to having it be a surprise author !! I like dark, twisted and suspenseful. This story did not disappoint and I am impatiently waiting for what comes next.

JD and Gabrielle were crazy in love as teens and although some of their teen relationship seems way out of the realm of teen - once you get to know JD and his brothers and their lives you can kind of see how JD would become interested in that kind of sexual activity. Anyhow it was hot and I enjoyed getting their past as well as their now. Here they are a decade and more later- second chance romance ?? I would say so.

JD walks back into Gabrielle's life when least expected and just takes over and takes charge. It isn't as easy as that of course BUT he has a way about him that Gabrielle can't resist yet she claims she will resist !! The end of their teen relationship is heartbreaking and puzzling, I am still trying to figure out how this will all come into play. The suspense is driving me crazy. Of course being a duet leaves us with a cliffhanger and a major one at that. The one thing I will say is that I love these 2 together. Despite past issues and JD's dominant controlling ways I truly saw and felt his love and fear. I adore him and I am hoping we get to see an HEA or at least see JD actually enjoy life !!

AMIE'S 4 STAR REVIEW

3.5-4 stars for this - I feel like I was waiting for this for awhile !! So glad to finally have the end of Bryce and Madison's story. Book 1 left us with a heap of unanswered questions yet book 2 picks up right where we left off and you are transported back to their story and their huge amount of pain and heartache. As if Bryce didn't have enough heartache in his past now he has no clue if Madison will ever come back to him. Sadly for Madison she may not be able to handle Bryce and his past. Sometimes it is just too much to carry when you are trying to build a life with someone. Unexpected news brings the opening Bryce needs and Madison wants. There is no denying she loves him , the only question is can he handle this news and can she handle his past. I will admit at times I felt the drama and heartache was a bit much. Man just let them catch a break because I was just about all set with issues. It was heartbreaking to watch Madison lose her dad in the midst of it all BUT it was great that the truth had come out and she could spend the time she had left with him and work on things with Bryce. In the end they had their happy AND it seems some other characters may be talking their way into stories for themselves ??!! Bring it on !!

WOW - this book was crazy and I cannot wait to read on. I admit this is long overdue - I took a blog break and had some down time. I am now playing catch up and thankful I did. This author is always great and I have enjoyed the other books of hers I have read. I don't even know how to break this down without spoilers BUT here goes...

Damien's life is not one any of us would want for our sons , husbands , friends or anyone really. He has been groomed for war and made to be heartless. Raised by his father , ditched by his mom and ruined by Emilio. Damien had no chance at a normal life but you can't help but love him and want to help him do good. The opening scene , the terror , the horror and violence. It is cringy and hard to read but you do see a spark of Damien TRYING to be a good person. In the end it doesn't matter because the stress of his choices never lets him enjoy the love he could have. I am curious to see what goes on next in the series because the way this ended was NOT FAIR !! 

I will make a tiny note that if age is something that bothers you when reading about relationships this may be a red flag. There is an awkward age difference and the relationship is awkward as well. BUT if you understand where Amira and Damien are coming from you may be able to get past that.

This was another great , gripping and twisted tale by non other than Stylo Fantome !! 

Emma and her mother have a horrible relationship and this current husband just turns a blind eye to all their anger. The only intriguing thing that comes out of her mother's latest conquest is the son - Church... 

Of course they shouldn't but you know they will !! This little game of theirs goes beyond lust, they share a weird desire and it takes this book to a different level. I really look forward to the next piece of the story. Yes this is a duet and yes you will either love it or hate it !!
