Lawson - Cerberus MC 2.0 book one by Marie James is the start of the spin-off series featuring all the kids that brought the rough and tumble men to their knees in the original series. While the introduction to Lawson was actually the cliffhanger ending of Ms. James' last book - Snatch - it does not have to be read in order to start this series, but I highly recommend the original Cerberus MC series as it is great reading that is highly entertaining too.
Delilah Donovan is a beautiful, introvert that prefers books to boys any day of the week. She and her twin brother Samson were adopted at a young age and never once had to know what it felt like to live without thanks to the love of their two dads. Between their dads and the entire MC they had all the love and attention anyone could ever dream of until the day a young man that resembled her dad Jaxon showed up at heir house and stole her heart.
Lawson O'Neil and his little brother Drew did not have a easy upbringing. They were raised by their mother who chose to party hard with both drugs and numerous men in the presence of her children instead of being a caring parent. Her lifestyle lead her to an early grave, but prior to her death she told her oldest son that his biological father was still alive and how to contact him. Out of money and options he had no other choice but to find the man his mother made out to be a terrible person. Lawson is in for quite the shock though when he finds his father married to a man and the adopted parent to two other children that love him more than anything in the world.
This was another great read from the land of the Cerberus MC that kept you captivated from start to finish. Heartache, pain and loss as well as love, healing and family are all what makes this series such an intense read. Then that epic little teaser at the very end just left me wanting more. I gave - Lawson - by Marie James 4 stars and can't wait for the next in the series...
