From New York Times bestselling author, J. Daniels, comes a sexy new STANDALONE novel. Riley Tennyson has made a huge mistake. At least, that’s what she keeps telling herself. Showing up to her brother’s wedding pissed off and newly single, Riley seeks comfort in solitude and an open bar, until the gorgeous and irresistibly charming CJ Tully makes her a better offer―a wild night with the master of smooth-talking where nothing is off limits. Riley does what any single woman would do, and a connection is made. One neither one of them can ignore. But when she comes home to the boyfriend she no longer thought she had, Riley buries her secret and begs CJ to do the same. Forget about each other. It was a mistake. That’s all it was… right? Desires are hidden. Distance is kept. Until one night CJ makes the ultimate sacrifice, and Riley can no longer avoid the man she can’t stop thinking about. Not with him sleeping down the hall…

REVIEWED BY JILL

What I Need is the LONG awaited fourth book in the Alabama Summer series by the extraordinarily talented J. Daniels. While this one can stand alone, I implore you to read all the books in the series and learn all about these Bama Boys that Daniels created - that I for one fell hard and fast for (over and over again).
Riley Tennyson is headed to Reed's wedding after calling it quits with her boyfriend of three years. She shows up to the rehearsal dinner in a terrible mood, but it quickly turns around when she learns she is paired up with the delectable CJ Tully. Riley and CJ hit it off and she ends up having the best night of her life, but she can't let anyone know, especially not her overbearing brother. After she gets home from the wedding she quickly realizes she made a terrible mistake and reconciles with her ex putting CJ in the friend-zone regardless of her feelings for him.
CJ Tully is part of the Ruxton police department working alongside both Ben and Luke. He is shocked he had never met Riley until the eve of Reed's wedding knowing he would have remembered a beautiful woman like her. Getting friend-zoned was the very last thing he thought would have happened after the night they had, but he is willing to do whatever it takes to keep Riley in his life.
This book was everything and more than you expect out of a "Bama Boy"! CJ was all dirty talking - alpha hot, sexy but so damn sweet all at the same time which gave him this country boy charm that I just couldn't resist. The only reason I gave it four stars was my inability to connect with Riley. I absolutely loved all the other heroines in this series and expected Riley to live up to those standards, but time after time she let me down. We do get to see appearances from all the members of the group including Sir Nolan, Baby Chase and even an introduction to some new characters too. Can't wait to see where Daniel's takes us next on this journey through Ruxton :)
