Both the main characters were amazing. I ADORED Lizzie. She was smart. She was a fighter. She was feisty. She had a huge heart and accepted everything that was Brochan without censor or hesitation. I always enjoy books set across the pond - the way they speak and the things they eat and wear. Obviously this book had so much more than that with two very damaged lead characters and a storyline that in the end connects people in ways they never even expected. There is a mystery and suspense about it and I was eager to find out how it would all play out. Brochan and Lizzie may have been set up to fail in life but in the end they both have succeeded more than anyone could have imagined. I loved the details in her paintings and the descriptions in the sights when she was walking around. The twists and turns came fast and hard and I honestly didn't expect some of them !! I love when things come together at the end and you start to realize that there was a build up along for it and you maybe didn't catch on. Another great read by this author and I always look forward to what comes next.
L.A. Fiore is the author of several books including Beautifully Damaged, Collecting the Pieces and His Light in the Dark. Her favorite movie is Star Wars, a love her son shares. They hope to build their own Millennium Falcon one day. She would like to meet the Winchester Boys to thank them for enlightening her on the versatility of salt as not just a food enhancer, but as protection from supernatural threats. And she thinks it would be interesting to be a zombie, to get an idea of what life is like as a brain-addicted fiend so she can be their voice to tell their side of the story.
